Thank you Smile Most photos really are on Facebook so I've been looking at a way to share them and still give credit but not cross that privacy line Wink

I think I have worked it out so will attempt to have a link up later tonight Smile

I'm hoping to organise a photoshoot with it all soon Smile

Added some pics to the first post, as said most pics are on facebook so Tumblr lets me share the images and link back to the original images easily. I think their personal privacy settings can do the rest Smile

That is beautiful! You did a great job! At some point if I can drop some weight, I want to do this character too. I've got off-white deerhide to make my own dress out of, I'll have to find out how to colour it to give it that dirty look.
I like how you did the braided straps around the outfit, I'll definately want to keep a copy of your OP, as a reference if you're okay with that.

As for a lightsaber, I've got one that looks VERY close to the one Shaak Ti uses, it's the Shock, available from ultrasabers:
http://www.ultrasabers.com/product_p/stunt-shock.htm

I got mine in guardian blue, it looks very much like her saber, with a few changes- the grooves in the hilt, and lack of greeblies aside from the switch and covertech knob.

Do you mind if I save a copy of the notes you've posted here, as I'm planning to do this costume myself if I can slim down enough?

I'm curious about the top of the costume- it looks like there's a bit of engineering there to give "the girls" some support. Did you take existing bra cups or something similar and incorporate them into the costume?
How did you do that part? As a currently rather busty woman, and one who will likely still have a lot to work with even after losing weight, this is a concern for me.

Well google has found the thread so it would be pointless to say no Wink But yes, feel free Smile

If you are looking for the headpiece let me know, My molds are still really good and I can cast latex while working on other things Wink

Yes the bikini top is quite structurally sound Smile I am barely an a cup in the two sizes I wear so I have had sort of the opposite issue Wink But it still requires some work Smile

Depending on how changing weight affects your bust size you may want to leave that to last. But the neck strap is very strong and so are the torso straps. The cups are built over an existing bra. So it means the suede covers had to be carefully shaped and eased over to not crush them.
There is also some internal support between the suede and cups as well.

Thanks! I was sorta wondering if you had used an existing bra- I know some belly dancers who have done that, making their own custom dance bras by covering over and decorating regular ones. I've got a latex headpiece, but it was made for somebody other than me, so it's a bit small, and since the fanfilm it was made for depicted a younger Shaak Ti, so the horns and tails are a bit shorter. At some point I want to replace it, I just have to see what the job situation turns out like (sucky hours ATM).

One thing I noticed when playing my PS2 version of TFU, is that Shaak Ti appears to wear a translucent cape of sorts. I've got some drapery fabric to build that out of, it's a translucent homespun linen-look, suitably rough looking for the style of the costume. But soft to the touch:)

I said this on another occasion but I repeat it gladly: Your costume is stunning, wonderfully made and a convincing view. You really ARE Shaak Ti, stepped from the video screen right into real life! Kudos!

Thank you Smile

I have re-worn this costume, but not as Shaak Ti (I am still planning on redoing the costume). I ventured in to my dark side and got creative Wink

Darth Tykhi was the result!
