Congrats!!!
Now get ready for the ride of your life!
I've done over 80 events as Darth Vader (the 501st "rock star") but trooping as Chewie tops that EASILY!!!

Have fun - and make the clan proud!!!

You'll be surprised how many kids you still freak out just because you're so tall.

Oh - and you'd better get used to being called a doggie. Laughing Laughing

Sometimes, yeah.

It's usually either a little one or the parent of a scared youngling and they tell them, "He's just like a big dog" to help ease their fears. Laughing Laughing

We were at an event a few weeks ago to raise money for MDA, and there was a wee little one (probably 3, maybe 4 years old) who kept calling me doggie and kept calling one of our TKs Batman!! Shocked Very Happy

Yeah, at one of my first troops as Chewie a little one, probably 4 or 5, kept calling me "big doggie" and came back for four or five hugs. Very Happy
Also, it never ceases to amaze me- at a troop last weekend all the little ones were enthralled with Vader and approached him very readily; and not one of them was scared in the least... but a few of them were terrified of Chewie. Shocked Confused

I've had some kids afraid, and a few doggies, but I've also gotten Bigfoot (a lot) and my favorite - "Chewbacca the Hutt". Of course, the troopers also got called Transformers, so it was all good Smile

Mostly though, I love people abandoning Vader to come see me Cool The local Vaders are a little put out, but it's all in good fun, and they certainly still do get their share. But Chewie is an absolute rock star, that's for sure.
