Hey Ladies!

I would like to sew the dress of Padmes handmaiden Cordè.
It`s one of the star wars episode II costumes, which i like very much but it`s not easy to find a good matching fabric!

Someone has an idea what kind of fabric i could take?
Another problem i have is the pattern of this fabric, looks like little dots in a ligth gold/yellow color, but i think this is hard to see.

I looked at padawansguide, but they also have no close-up shots from the gown to see the fabric really good.

http://www.padawansguide.com/aotc_handmaidens1.shtml

Would be so lucky for help! I apologize for my bad english Embarassed
Greetings from germany Very Happy

Are you planning to do pre-assassination attempt or after?

I did the damaged version and couldn't find anything similar to the fabric. I ended up stamping the design (the best I could figure from the few photos - gold dots with black diamonds) on the robe.

I went to a fabric store yesterday and saw this fabric. Not exact, but I thought it looked kinda close. Smile

Hmm, to me it looks like the basic color is a cream white or off white, with cream golden squares and silvery dots in between the square corners. (Talking about the not-blown-up version. It will of course need to be dirtied a lot! Lol). Smile

I don't think you will be able to find this fabric anywhere, but you could get it printed.
I know of at least two sites that do printed fabric: spoonflower and artscow.com. I haven't used any of them, so I'm just trying to give you some options.

Might be totally off-base to suggest it, but what about a towel material? The one in this picture is a little too "fluffy", but I have dish/tea towels that are very low nap/loop.
