May the force be with you all!
As some friends told me I am strong in the force. So I´d like to join the old republic Jedi order and to keep up peace and justice in the Austrian Outer Rim sector.
Please have a look at my costume and give me some feedback if i could try to registrate...

Greetings from the Austrian alps,
O.D.

Ups...
I read the costume standards, but I didn´t mention the "no black boots" part!
Well, I don´t want to buy another pair of boots, so I have to become a new Republic Jedi.
Thanks for this hint, Myshadowstar!

Aside of the little things that separates Old from New Republic Jedi: Yours is looking veeery good. Cool

A classic and weel-made Jedi. Good build. Smile

Oh, and don't forget to join the KJO (Knights of the Jedi Order), the Jedi Detachment of the RL (infos in my signa).

Looks nice Smile

One little tip could be to sew tucks in the tabbards, just under the obi.
That way, they will not cross in front Smile

I'll generally just tuck the extra material up under the Obi so they are even and not overlapping. The belt and Obi tend to keep the tabards in place.
It's a little hard to tell from the pics, but the sleeves may be a little long. It looks like you have them pushed up slightly in the first pic and it's still eating pretty much your whole hand. I would say just redo the hem on the sleeve to take it up a little bit.
the robe looks great!

That's a way to do it, too.
You could do that, and then perhaps just add a couple of safety pins to keep it in place Smile

Thanks for your hints so far!
This weekend I wore my costume at the Vienna table game fair, and I wasn´t satisfied. This old order costume really looks good, but I realized it´s awfull "impractical for every-day use".
So my idea now is to create a complete new costume which is "all day wearable". I thought of a Luke episodeVI like tunic in a brown or beige tone with this scarf like tabarts, this seems to be more practical to me. But I´ll have to do some research at first, so...
May the force be with you!

You can paint the boots in brown, that's no problem.

On the other hand I would tell you that you may neen to make a little longer your robe, cause in the photos it seems that it's not reaching the floor, it looks shorter. Wink

On the other hand I think it's great to have new members at Austria, I hope you can make more people join us ther, and maybe later open an Outpost...so keep working bro!!! Smile

Yes, a guy here in Austria also told me that it´s possible to paint the boots (his brown colour nearly took 1 week to get dry!), but I think black boots are better suited for other costumes as well.
The robe reaches my ankles, thats right. I made this for practical reasons because I don´t want to step on it to often when "fighting". Could the ankle-lenght be a problem for registration when becoming a new order Jedi? In the standards for a generic new Jedi the robe´s lenght is not mentioned.
Thanks so far for all hints!

Oh no, I don't think so, it's just a personal opinion, but if you like it that way there is no problem I think.

Good luck. Wink

Informal Jedi Apprentice?

As I´m an A-Wing pilot with some force potential I thought of becoming an apprentice at Luke´s Jedi praxeum on Yavin 4.
Could it be possible to receive an informal status when mixing up my pilot and Jedi costumes, maybe with a belt for holding a D-ring lightsaber hilt?
Just an idea...

First costume has to be formal, then you can do informal ones.
