Now that Hasbro is making removable-blade Force FX lightsabers, will the clip that comes with them be acceptable? They are obviously Covertech-based designs, but are slightly different.

I'm applying as a generic Jedi, and the requirements seem to contradict themselves:

As a required item:
Quote:
# Belt with a wide leather main belt with a covertech, thinner secondary belt on top of the main belt, and a buckle. No black belts accepted.

As an optional item:
Quote:
Covertech clip

I have four of the five optional items (the only one I don't have is an actual Covertech clip).

I'm referring, of course, to the clip that comes with the Obi-Wan and Anakin lightsabers, not the Vader.

I should be "transmitting my application" tomorrow afternoon, if you think the clip is acceptable.

wow, I didn't know that they were sending those with the lightsabers as well.
I don't see why that wouldn't work for Generic Jedi.

I actually think this is a better design, as far as function goes, than the Covertech model. I've never used a Covertech, but being able to push down a single button is pretty nice. It seems like the Covertech is a two-handed operation... not that it matters much, since I have to take the lightsaber apart to put the blade in. It's not exactly elegant.

It just takes practice being able to press both buttons at the same time and withdrawing your saber one-handed. Wink

Yes, it is awkward, at first, but you get the hang of it.
