Putting up a place mark. This is looking very doable, but need to wait for game to see the full views:

Thanks to Zann for the heads up.

No problem mate. I mean I just found the pic, you have to build it and at the end I'm pretty sure it'l be who's wearing the costume, not who found the pic that gets the cameras going, and I'm sure it'll be as awesome as your V1. glad to help

Go, Kota! Go, Kota! pompom

I myself am tempted to make one of Starkiller's costumes ... but I'm waiting for the game, then I decide. However, I so hope you make this one. I'm eager to see the TFU II Kota. Smile

lol not necessary.

I like the mandarin collar, new belt, loincloth, and gauntlets. Will certainly be fun to build.

Like Chris though, I need to wait for the game to see the full 3D model of Kota (hopefully).

Kind of reminds me of a Spanish Conquistador armor, without the the helmet. Wink

That's where I seen the style before! lol The full front/back (assume the back as well) torso plate.

Shoulder bells will be easier. They're smaller and have 90 degree corners. Loin cloth kinda Imperial Knight'ish.

Still don't wanna design it til I can see full 3d model.

End of October.

That breastplate looks like a Globose from the 14th century.

The shoulders are late 13th/early 14th center pauldrons.

And the Vambraces are similar to Tulip Vambraces in style.

There's probably a back plate attached.

I've never made them out of plastic or fiberglass, but I have made, and worn, them out of cold steel and boiled leather.

It's amazing what skills one picks up after more than 20 years doing medieval reenactment, and 30+ years in the theatre.

Here's a full body shot that I found today. I have other pics that could be useful as well, just ask and I'll post them.

My friend you know that I think you are one of the very many talented costumers found in the Rebel Legion. Keep up the awesome work.

I finally managed to get off the rainy, dreary Kamino and onto the sunny, cheery Cato Neimoidia where Starkiller was kind enough to don the Rahm costume and pose for a few photos.

These are the first of many, to be followed by close-up details of all elements from low and high angles. Samples here, the rest in my photobucket

Some interesting details can already be seen even at this range:

- The boots have front spats and the lowest strap is narrower than the three upper straps.
- The lowest boot straps have the end flap on the outside of the leg (as expected - doesn't interfere with movement of the legs) but the upper straps have the end flaps on the inside of the leg.
- The innermost gauntlet panel - closest to the skin - has an interesting waffle grid texture with about 1cm squares.
- There are ribbed-texture, flexible soft side panels between breastplate and backplate
- The center of the five "bolts" on the bandoleer buckle does not stick up off the surface of the buckle as far as the other four.
- The shoulder bells are mirror images of each other and not symmetrical across any center line, so will have to make two separate sculpts/molds.
