Does 6 years in the Marine Corps count as "really" knowing how to march?

Confused

Assuming I don't get my Zayne costume finished and accepted by then but am otherwise able to attend, are my KotOR Jedi robes acceptable for this event?

And I'm a Jedi and I know how to march. Laughing

I've seen your costume in person (at the Roundrock "Star Wars Night" event) and it's approved for you to march in the parade, if you can make it.

5 so far (maybe 6) just going by the Rebel Legion numbers, I'll check the 501st board later today and see if I can tell how many have signed up there for a grand total.

I've added a list of people who've signed up on the RL & 501st boards on the 1st post of this thread.

I've sent an invite to Dagobah Base to see if anyone over there would want to come troop the parade.

Jacob you are good to walk the parade if you want.

Danny, let me know if anybody else wants to join us. I just chatted with our rep and she said to add a few more if we have them.

Danny, you can change my roster/costume listing to TK--I should have my 501st approval this week or early next, since I submitted application & photos Saturday night.

UPDATE 11-15-10!!!
OK troopers!! I have our parking passes and info on the parade. In order to get you your passes I will need to either mail them to you or you can meet me and I will give you one. One pass per car. I have just enough to get us all in.

Details - Parking:
Parking Lot C is our parking and it is on St. Emanuel and Preston.

Parade Position:
We will be in the 29th position, behind the MacArthur High School Band ( which will be playing Star Wars Music periodically )

Extras:
-Do not stop in the TV zone, we are to keep walking.
-We can carry the banner!!
-We have to be in our parade position by 7:30AM!!! Get there early

SO, let me know how you want those passes and I will get them to you. If I never hear from you, I cannot get you one.

This note is for those who are going to attend the parade as a Jedi, as members of the Rebel Legion:

If you have a lightsaber hilt or a lightsaber with a detachable blade, those would have the best results during the parade as the color of the blades will not show-up outside, especially if there is any type of sunlight. Last year, we just carry the hilts on our belts.

UNLESS you have a really super bright LED where you can see the full color in direct sunlight, then feel free to carry your blade. I have a Luxeon III LED in my saber and I can not see the color outdoors.

If you don't have a detachable blade or hilt, you could always make a hilt by using parts at Home Depot/Lowes, etc.

Make room on that shuttle for me. Smile
I just competed some more sewing on my costume and it's ready. Every time I wear it, I learn that it shifts and needs to be modified. What are the plans if it rains? I think the possibility is low. I see more problems with sweat. The Jedi can't hide fans in helments.

Great!

If I remember right the parade goes on rain or shine. I will march in the parade if it rains. I use scotch-guard on my robe (mostly spray the shoulder area, arms and hood) which really helps out with keeping you somewhat dry. You can get scotch-guard at Wal-Mart (camping/outdoors dept), Target (camping/outdoors dept) and Academy. If you use scotch-guard you need to check to see if your material will take take it, making sure it won't stain the material, etc. What I saw on the news this morning, was the chances of rain are higher in the afternoon on Thursday.

For sweat you could wear some under armor (or equivalent material) under your robes which would absorb moisture, etc.
