woot!

Someone south of Joliet!
lol...

Our ranks are a tad thin....and we are REALLY thin south of Joliet...as in no members...lol...

So..
it will be good to have you on board!

We have a couple Midwest Garrison members who do have Rebel costumes (one RFT and one Endor Commando) but they have not signed on to the Rebel Legion as yet...
I keep pestering them though..

Very Happy

Yes....that is really far south...
we do have a number of events in the Peoria area each year...
and...farther south is growing in terms of the Midwest Garrison.

I'm more than willing to lend a somewhat artistic hand in any projects. The speeder bike at Disney was good, but was it to scale? It looked smaller than the one at CV. I think us Nar Shaddaa people need to spend a month in Belgium! Their displays at CV were AMAZING!! Here is a pic of their to scale speeder bike.

good question...

Yes....the team from Belgium is amazing...
I saw some photos somewhere of their "workshop"...which is nothing less than fabulous also...

so..
they have a great workshop..
must have some seriously talented carpenters and artists..
and..

obviously...
someone has some serious money....

I am sure that most everyone would agree that when doing a costume project ...and one has to go to the fabric/hardware/craft store for a "few things"...you never get out of those places spending less that $35.00.

I don't think we could hope to duplicate anything that they do...
and..
for the average fan...absolute scale and detail are probably not completely necessary..

I'm fairly certain that the disney bike is not to scale, but its one of those things where 99% aren't going to know or care.

I also plan on trying to do an Admiral Ackbar before the 30th anniversary of Jedi rolls around. I have a friend who was an art major and is now an art teacher who really wants to help me with the mask/hands for Ackbar. And I've never seen a mon cal costume and I like being unique!
