You are on Legion Council now; you should have the ability to do that.

I can and I could, but I think the DCO should have final say as to what ends up in the tutorial section.

I just noticed the "shine" discussion in this thread. A common suggestion on wig sites is to soak the hair for a short time in cider vinegar diluted with water. Supposedly it will take the extra shine off synthetic hair without leaving a lasting scent. I haven't tried it yet, but it's mentioned in enough places to make me think there might be some use to the trick!

Pam :-)

Looks good. You are on the right track, find a "small business" store that's willing to work with you. And by the looks of it you have! Especially if you can get discounts!

Matt beat me to it, but definitely blend the colors:
    #27 (strawberry blond)
    #6 (chestnut brown)
    #44 (silver gray)
    #4 (dark brown)

Sadly I don't remember the exact quantities. All I remember is mixing the 27 and 6 at 2/3rds 1/3 ratio aswell as the 44 and 280 at the same ratio, with a little bit of 4 dotted here and there aswell. Every body will have their own preferences though.

I definitely recommend all of your colors be a mix. The 27 if what I used on my original suit 7 years ago. The mix of 27 and 6 looks much better, especially when you throw in some grey for accents.

For the brown areas I mix 2 parts 27 (typically half of a bag of hair) to one part 6 (1/4 of a bag). I'll have to look up my numbers for the dark/grey areas.

Matt, you mentioned up there ^^^ that you do a 2:1 of #27:#6. Is #8 in the mix as well? or just random accents?

looks like everyone has different amounts of what they used...

I think I am going to go with this..

40 of #27 (strawberry blond)
20 of #44 (silver grey)
5 of #6 (chestnut brown)
5 of #4 (dark brown)

70 bags total...

sound ok?

also, I think I've seen a few people mention #280... is that like another grey? mix with the 44?

The more you mix the more natural it will look. I do know the NFT hair has over 10 different colors for each... nobody has just 2 colors of hair.

IMO I don't think 280 is necessary because it's just a higher mix of dark brown and silver/gray. My theory on this is most people buying extensions need them pre-made, so variations of the colors are pre-blended by whichever factory. Of course the ones that are different COLORs are actually different shades. But like your 280s and 44s (at least to my eye) look like different ratios of the same hair. 280 look like mostly all really dark brown and a little bit of grey. 44 looks like more 44 and a little 4. By taking 44 and just blending more 4 you should get the same effect. For my darker Chewie areas I'm going to do 2/3 of #44 to 1/3 #4.

I'm torn on my #27 mix though 2/3 of #27 to 1/3 #6, but I'm thinking maybe just use #8. I guess I just wanted more feedback on the use of #6 and #8 with the #27.

For others, here is a chart I found:

Thanks Bob. Have been on vacation and did not see the request. Moved to the tutorials section.
