hey ladies!

I am soo happy i have just finished my embroidery for the corset of my meadow gown and am very proud Mr. Green

Unfortunately the golden corset fabric is a little bit to dark i think, but in "daylight" it`s not sooo dark as at the pictures.

What do you think about it?

Without flash:

Also i am so glad to found a good match fabric for the cape. But i have to dye it one more time, its to white now:

This gonna be the skirt:

I was one of the lucky persons who could get picnic beads:

Looks good. Did you do the embroidery by hand, or do you have a machine that does it?

Where is everyone finding the sequins for the skirt?

Too bad...I've often contemplated this gown. Though, that's the last thing I need right now is another project! Rolling Eyes Laughing

Gorgeous work. I got an order of the sequins too. One of these days when I am not doing other peoples' stuff, I will be able to finally do the embroidery on my own too.

The embroidery is lovely. I appreciate the work you put into it, because I did all the embroidery on my ROTS Aqua Georgette gown by hand. I would love to make this gown someday, and it'll be embroidered by me, by hand as well.

Carrie, PM responded to, thanks!

My aqua Georgette gown took a long time. I don't really know how long, but several months. I started it the summer of 2008 and had the gown ready to go by March 2009 (which worked out perfectly, because I became pregnant in between so it was ready for an event that I actually NEEDED to have it for!) though I had to take a few months break because of morning (all day) sickness.

The embroidery is beautiful! Nice job Smile

I'd love to know where you got the shawl fabric from - it's the one thing that's stopping me from making this costume!

PostPosted: Fri Jul 09, 2010 7:35 pm    Post subject: Cape Fabric Reply with quote

Hi Ember!

The fabric for the cape i found at http://www.macculloch-wallis.co.uk/

But i dont know if they sell it longer. I tried to find it but i seams as it`s sold out Confused
Perhaps you can find it. They have also very nice embroidered tulle but its not so accurate as the embroidered organza. (the tulle has 4 rose clusters)

Hope i can help you with this! The fabric was very expensive, i payed 54,00 Euro for one meter, but i enough for the cape.
I searched over4 month to find a matching fabric for the cape, but in the end i am so happy with the organza. I know, the original gown seems to has another fabric, looks like tulle or else.....But this fabric is a good choice i mean!
