We've been invited to Space Center Houston to help them promote their summer-long Clone Wars The Experience exhibit. Obi-Shawn will be back again to lead some Jedi training classes.

The downside is that since the exhibit is Clone Wars specific, only Clone Wars era costumes can attend. Sad

What: Clone Wars The Experience exhibit at SCH

When: Saturday, July 3rd. Specific time TBD

Where: Space Center Houston
1601 NASA PARKWAY (formerly NASA Rd 1)
Houston, Texas 77058

Secure changing/stowage: Yes

Troopers:
Stephen Bellard - Clone
Angelle Bellard - Jedi (Barriss Offee)
???
???
???

Good news, everyone! THIS EVENT IS NOW OPEN TO ALL COSTUMES! (but there's a small catch)

SCH is still limited by LFL to keep this as a Clone Wars themed event, therefore they are only officially inviting 501st and RL members with TCW-era costumes to attend. HOWEVER, because they would not ask a member of the general public who happened to show up in costume to leave or to remove their costume, all members of the 501st and RL are invited to attend in any costume - you just will not be there in an "official" 501st or RL capacity.

So if a Vader, Boba Fett, stormtrooper, or Jedi just happen to show up? You'll be welcomed to hang around and do whatever you'd like to do. You may not get to go up on stage for any of Obi-Shawn's presentations, but pretty much everything else is fair game. Hey, that means that if they have the stage set up outside again, all of you non-clones can stay inside and not test your armor's fluid (read: sweat) retention/dispersion ability!

SCH does NOT want anyone to have to pay to troop, though. So, if you'd like to attend, please let me know so I can forward your information to SCH so they can have a ticket waiting for you at will-call. Mention you're with the 501st or RL and you'll still be able to park for free, too. Oh, and everyone is welcome to use the boardroom for changing, whether you are a clone or not.

When you enter go toward the left. On the left will be the store. Just past it will be an elevator.

Push the intercom button and they will send the elevator for you.

When you exit the elevator, turn right and head towards the receiptonists.

The boardroom is on your right directly across from the receiptionists. It is brown double doors.

I too will be there about 9:30.

Just FYI, Angelle and I are aiming to be there around noon. My cell is 713-725-1724 if anyone needs to reach me. I haven't heard a specific schedule of events yet from SCH, but it should be a good time!

It looks like I won't be there in time for the first (11 am) show, but I'll be available for the other two. Hopefully it won't be as sweltering as it was last year since Barriss is so dark blue.

Shawn, are we doing anything new this time? Or just lightsaber and force push training?

Stephen and I have the babysitter booked long enough to grab dinner afterwards if anyone is interested.
