After 4 years I think its finally complete.

Pictures may not be good enough to submit for registration. My pants are being repaired so That will take a while to get better photos done. Here is what Photos I took on Saturday after a parade. I forgot that I needed them in front of a plain background and It looks like I got a touch of sun burn as well as them being a little fuzzy maybe. Anyway here is my completed costume.

Nicely done Jeff. Have a quick question for you, did you make the trench coat from a pattern or what did you use for it? Thanks

It looks like a shorter coat that was added to on the bottom.

I also thought his trench coat had a slit in the back.

There are very few dusters out there that are made correctly. Nice to finally see one that is ankle length. It may not be 100%, but its one of the best ones I have seen.

Well done Jeff!

Thanks everyone. Yeah I have always been proud of my Duster. I made sure it was the proper length and had 2 pockets that looked about right, as well as the slit in the back like it should. It may have a little too much green in it, but since I only had half a clue I think it came out pretty darn good I think.

As for how I made it, I totally cheated and kit bashed 2 Long Lab coats.

That's how I roll. go Rebels !!!!

I bought 2, cut the bottom off one and added it to the other. For this one event I had taped it together and then had my friend Diane sew it later on. I had to extend the Slit in the back as well. At the time I really did not know that much about the Floral Dye and was in a bit of a hurry to get it done for an event, so I bought a bunch of Model Master Spray paint in the right Shades of Brown and a little Green. Maybe its only supposed to be Brown, but I have always seen a little green in it, so that's what I did. After layering it quit a bit it looked pretty good. Later on I sprayed it real good with weather proof stuff so that it would not run if I got caught in the rain with it on.
Some day I may have one made from a Lab coat Pattern and make it really long, and then use the Floral dye stuff.

Yep, thats what I did. It was windy so you can not see the slit in the back.
