after years of hearing how bad it was, but wanting to see it any i finally got my chance this weekend.. it definately lived up to its reputation. i dont know what was worse, lukes haircut, the cooking show, chewies dads fantasies or everyone bursting into song, including leia. well at least i can say i have seen it

It does have one redeeming feature. The introduction of Boba Fett in the cartoon.

But the cartoon is so poorly animated. It's like if that old video game, Dragon's Lair melted and they left it like that. I don't think the cartoon comes anywhere close to redeeming one minute of this abomination.

In a twisted manner, the fact that Fett despises animals so much fills me with glee. It's one of those horrible character traits that fits so well...

Hands-down on either the creepy soft-core wookiee grandpa fantasy, or the wookiees in snuggies at the end for the most mind-numbingly awful parts for me.


...And damnit now I have a compulsion to watch it AGAIN just to prove to myself how very awful it is! D=

dont do it, you know you will regret later, i cant believe they dragged it out for 1 half hours. i kept willing it to end but it wouldnt.

its a real shame, they had all the original cast and thats the best they could come up with

I have heard about how bad it is...
and..
I just can't bear to actually watch it...

I shall remain a "Holiday Special" free zone..

Phyllis, I think every Star Wars fan sould watch it at least once to appreciate how good the films were and how bad they could’ve been.

The sad part is there was so much potential in the Christmas special.

We watched it (translate - fast forwarded thru it to get to the Luke, Leia, Han scenes) this past Christmas for the first time... Good Lord, it was bad... I mean I love b-movies that are so bad they're good (Toxic Avenger is one of my favorites), but the Holiday Special was just weak and was wayyyyy too long -- If they only had gone a half-hour tops, they wouldn't have had to resort to time killing sections, and it mightve been watchable...
