Chris, as my first customer, I'm psyched to see one of my kits finished up. It looks really, really good! You did a great job. I hope you enjoy trooping as the carpet.

Looks good Chris!
Out of curiosity, what do you top out at with your finnal height? So hard to tell withough a reference..... a garage door can vary... big time.
Some advice I would suggest is to use hair pins to get more of your chin back, and help with your facial definition. Over all though I do not see anything that should prevent you admition IMO.

Thanks all. I really appreciate all the help and support I've gotten through this process - and I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm darned proud of myself for how it turned out.

I haven't actually measured myself yet, but I'm figuring I should top out at around 7'1" or so. I know that's shorter than some of you guys, but it works for me, it's managable to walk around in and I'm still at least half a foot taller than the other troopers. Wink
My first troop will be this coming Saturday at a small scifi/fantasy/gaming con. The week after is the big unveiling at a minor league hockey game where one of the intermission events will be a Wookiee call contest. Should be a BLAST!!

Chris,

You might want to remind everyone, Let the Wookie win!

I think in the height issue... as long as your taller then the tallest Vader in your area by a few inches... you will be more than just fine!. People will love your wookiee... I have no doubt!

That's kind of what I was thinking. We do have 1 Vader who is about 6'8" flat footed so at worst I'll be at eye level with him - and taller than everyone else Laughing Dance Chewie

Yowza!!! 6 foot 8? thats very rare... most areas don't have Vaders that tall.

If it becomes an issue, you can always redo your platforms a few inches I suppose.

We have a 6'10" Vader believe it or not! I'm still an acceptable 4-5 inches taller than him thankfully.

All the latch hooking was worth it in the end! Would you do it again?

We have a 6'10" Vader too, at 7'2" I'll try and avoid standing anywhere near him for the most part.
