I'll concur on the quality of Daniel's boots. Have his Obi-Wan boots. Fits like a glove. It does take time, with him... but he is GREAT with communication. He does quality Anakin's like everyone here has said Smile

I'll have to look him up then.

So... I got my pants (Dickies 874) today and they are tight.... normally, I'd send them back and get a different size, but seeing as I didnt get my pattern made this weekend, I'm gonna keep 'em and work extra hard on dropping some poundage. Besides, skinny Anakin gets more attention form the ladies than chubby Anakin. Cool

Thursday, I'll make my boot decision, and I'll order Claudio's glove, then my fabric, and I'll be done (aka no more money spending.)

I'll be sure to post pics when everything comes together. I'll be incorporating the pieces of my EP3 Anakin into my Outbound Flight Anakin as they come in, so that'll be fun....

I got my boots today and they fit so well and they are uber comfy. Not to mention they are sexy as heck.

They are the $70 ones.. I couldn't justify paying that much for boots... neither could my pocket book Very Happy

I think they look amazing though. I do need to color them to be more accurate.

Good choice of boots Billy, i think thats the pair i used awhile ago, make sure if you dye them, to use the correct dye..
also the front of the spats might 'flip-up' if thats a problem use velco strips to tie them down.
hope this helps dude Very Happy

thanks, thats a good idea. The boots are actually black, but my friend katie gave me a really good tip about "painting them" so we'll see how that goes

seriously though, the costume is about 60% done... all I need is the glove leather pouch and fabric for the tunics and under tabards... already got the leather.... should be done soon.

You could try and find one of the old Star Wars patterns by simplicity, or a standard Gi pattern, the latter will be much easier and less expensive to find.If it's patterns for the tunics, they're actually not that hard to make, even without a pattern. I think I have a couple old tunics that can be used as a template, I wouldn't mind sending one for your tailor/seamstress to have as an example so long as I eventually get it back. ^^ Even would have the shoulder tucks in it.

I offered to let her use my tunic/tabards as an example... she says she "needs" a pattern

Go to www.sonsofthesuns.com

They have the most in depth info on all of the Anakin's; including which patterns to use.

A good pattern was Simplicity 4450 but it is out of print and very pricey if you do happen to find one. I would go here: http://www.padawansguide.com/basic.shtml

You can click on the different pieces to look at it. The thing I would say about Anakin is that there is a waist seam so the bottom half is like a skirt and the neck binding ends at the waist. It also has side slits.
