Yeah well nothing like a Monday after being off on Friday...

Gotta love voicemails like "I'm having problems with my computer, can you look at in Monday while I'm off." With out telling me what's actually the problem...

GRRR.

So I've got a semi random costume question I've been thinking about...

I've been mulling in my head about which would be a better holster option for Wedge with a DL-44, a Han style belt or an ESB Luke?

Obviously, the Han belt has that iconic badass look to it, but my thought is that the ESB Luke might be more "standard issue-ish" (outside of the saber clip of course).

I checked through my Rogue Squadron comics, the later ones have a couple shots of Wedge with a low slung holster but some others have him with a belt level holster closer to Luke's. Add in the usual inconsistency of first gen Dark Horse comics and I'd say its a draw between the two.

Personally, I'm kinda leaning towards the Luke at this point because I think it might fit the character more since he's more the soldier so a standard issue gun belt would make sense rather than a "quick draw" belt like Han's.

What do you all think?

I think that a Luke would be a good idea...
both of the holsters are really pretty badass....
IMHO..

and...
where does the madness end?

I didn't have enough headaches with the Hoth Backpack...
as you can see in this photo...the boyscout backpack on the left is for the Endor Hardpack...

as C-3PO would say..

"this is madness"...

then we have a certain bucket in primer....after many hours of sanding yesterday and today..

still not sure of my intended paint scheme though..

First layer of "Hypothetical Blue" applied...

I sure hope I did a reasonable job on masking...
my eyes are not so good...
Crying or Very sad

Well...if any of the lines are "fuzzy"...I can have it pin striped...

I decided on less white and more blue...
and definitely pinstripe to hide the seam at the mohawk...

don't worry too much about the mohawk seam, that's "cannon".

I put the second color layer on earlier today....
and just peeled off the masking tape...
I don't like to leave the tape on too long....
it came out ok....there are a few ragged paint edges...
but they should sand out...
and I still have red and stars to apply..

Hypo Blue (or R2 Blue) is a gorgeous color....in the sunlight...it is just magic...

It takes a metallic base and then you put this almost "candy" blue over the mettalic...

I am leaving this paint dry for at least a week before I do anything else...
there are so many layers of color...
you really have to let it dry...

oh well...I work well under pressure...lol...

at least next week will be a short week...
I don't get many holidays (since July 4th fell on a Saturday..I didn't get a day off or pay for that holiday.. Sad )...so this time of year is great...
two holidays in two weeks!

by the way..

Crix...

here is a dome like the one I have for your R2 - I was searching for logic displays...scroll down a bit to the clear dome...
