We just need a volunteer to keep it up, and to make sure that all the event coordinators send in the info.

I am hopeing someone else would like to take this on..

I bet after awhile it would be a pain in the arse..

I dont know if I would have the time to do it right...

but...if no one else wants to...maybe I could give it a try...

maybe if I kept it very simple...like

Crix:

1) 5/16/09-motor city comic con Novi, MI
2) 7/5/09-4th of july parade Bartlett, IL
all the way to
22)12/6/09-star wars concert united center Chicago, IL
then other names and so on...

then start a new one for the following year....
I dont know ....just thinking out loud

I know from talking to Geoff, that it is a pain to keep it up. People don't send in the info, then members complain because something is missing. It's a full time job with very little thanks.

ok.. here is a idea...might not work, but again just thinking out loud

what if everyone posted their own TOD. in one thread...
maybe make it a rule that no one can comment in it, just post TOD and edit it on their own....

maybe...just thinking as I go here.....
the first post someone could just copy the others and combine them there...
if some members dont do it, then they dont go up there...
each member would be responable for their own TOD....

just thinking....starting to hurt.. Laughing

We can ask for a base member’s only forum, it would be visible to the base only (and Council). That could be a nice place to put a TOD thread (or threads).

Could we try and keep it to events done in RL costumes or non-costume support. schrik
I know a several members do a lot in 501st costumes, but do we really need to see a list of everything they do for another club.

I had the job before Geoff did in the MWG...and I can vouch for the fact that it's a pain in the rear to keep it updated. Event coordinators seldom submit attendance lists, even after repeated emails reminding them to do so. I felt bad when I had to hound people like that. It usually fell to me to piece attendance lists together - which was nearly impossible to do when it was an event I did not attend personally.

I personally don't have a need to track my own TOD. If that is something that is important to others though, any ideas on how to make it successfully happen would be great.

the only I can think of would be to have everyone do their own TOD.
just in a thread with no comments...
each person could edit, update when they have time...

I dont konw...just a idea.. we dont have to do it at all...

We could do a thread where people can have a post that they continually update with their own TOD. That might be easier for those who want to track their own TOD, rather than waiting for event coordinators.

Update the first post with confirmed Attendee(s) not every event needs a mission report (IMO) at least one could go back to an event archive.

If you have enough volunteer(s) one Track ILL events, the other WI events

Geographically speaking, you know who is there 90% of the time cause you troop that said area often enough.

if it turns in to just one person, refer to the first suggestion .

two cents.

I tried to do that in a sense with the "Missions Accomplished" thread...

http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20272

besides photos..
it does give details on who attended...
if/what we raised in $$

or whatever...

Anyone can post to the "Mission Accomplished" thingy...
and most importantly...
it lets casual observers....or folks thinking about making a costume know that we are indeed out and about and doing events..

Beth...
would you post the "Star Wars In Concert" to the Missions Accomplished...
you were lead on that...
I did post the Toy Con one I was at in the AM...

dunno...

I've got about 6 things to post to the missions accomplished thread, that being one of them.

Hopefully by the end of the week....

Your missions accomplished thread is great, Phyllis. But if a member wants to see what events he/she has attended in the past year, they would have to scroll through the entire thread. At least with our own individual posts in a dedicated thread it would be a lot easier to find/edit.

It won’t be the easiest thing! I know Beth struggled keeping up with the medals at MWB.com. So, Thomas’s suggestion seams like a nice compromise. Especially for those of us that aren’t in the 501st and have nowhere else to keep this.

I guess I am just anal...
I keep my own list of Missions...

which is easy because I usually get at least a couple photos at each event I attend...so the photo albums are my guide to what I have done..

Very Happy
