Just a few more pics!

Fibreglass underskull

The mask was cast in platsil gel 10, really great stuff, takes hair punching really well.

Things to do:
1. Add some highlights to the mask, shorten brow hair
2. Add some more brown to the waist
3. On the next mask, add some deadner to the platsil around the lips to make them softer for lip snarl
4. Paint lips with brown/maroon acrylic ink or silicone pigment (was just using lipstick :lol)
5. Matt the overall costume down to stop the hair flowing while walking, trim upper arms slightly

The mask was a hell of a lot more intense work than I thought it would be, the next one will be easier, think I've weeded out most of the mistakes!

I have been asked by a few people to make one for them, Merumeru will be next on the cards more than likely since we hope to have a squad of wookiees in the garrison!

Dougie Fett, that looks fantastic. The blending of the hair looks very natural and true to the canon. Well done!

Little vid of me getting into costume!! Had packed the mask out with too much padding so my eyes were too deep set, has been fixed since!

Have made some improvements to the overall costume, added some more brown around the waist, added more hair to the head, still need to sort those lips!!

There is a product called Psycho paint. This is a silicone based paint that can be used to paint the lips after the molding is done. The paint is silicone so it will not crack and is extreamly flexible. It takes pigments well if you use silicone based paints.

My advice is get a few sil-pigments and mix till you get the right color for the lips then use that to add to the psycho-paint. You can apply it using an air-brush (just thin it out), or brush... you can even use your fingers to get a more natural look.

Psycho Paint

Thanks Robert!

Have also used acrylic inks mixed with platsil to achieve the same look. The inks are a little cheaper than silicone pigments! Can be thinned out with alcohol before applying.

In fact, I was reading a post on the Effects Lab website about colouring silicone and people have used all sorts from acrylic to creme makeup mixed with the silicone with good results!
