I'm going to be attempting to make a wig for a Rystall Sant costume...was wondering if any of you Chewbacca's here in the fringe could recommend a good brand of hair to use? Hoping to find it in wefts, since I plan on using a weave-like approach to this, but I'm open to suggestions if anyone has a better method!

For the most part, we are using Kanekalon hair extensions that you can buy for $ to $3 per bag at any beauty supply store. Go to some of the larger ones and look around. They have quite the selection of hair colors.

It's important that it be the Kanekalon hair as you can mix and match brands without worrying about variations in the hair quality/color. As long as it's kanekalon fibers and the color numbers are the same, you are good.

We tie our hair into a net suit (like latch hooking a rug) but they have wig meshes that they use.

With Rystall you are actually going to need to make a hairline. Most wigs have no visible hairline. In order to do that you have to punch hair into a bald cap, I think.

Here is a wig making tutorial.
