This is mine that I carry. It is an airsoft with resin parts and its very light and wonderful to troop with. I would recomend getting one if you plan on carrying a sidearm.

I am interested also...
I do have the metal Denix...
and...it is pretty heavy...
I also have a real flash supressor on it (it is more of a custom job)..

and see curvature of the spine in my future if I carry mine for quite a number of hours...

Very Happy

I have a slightly customized Denix Mauser that I carry only occasionaly, because it weighs a frikkin' ton. I have that same airsoft Mauser sitting in the closet, just waiting for something like this! PM on the way!

Cheers!

I haven't given much thought about a sidearm (until I at least got everything else put together), but yeah... I'd be interested as well.

Not really- I still plan on doing these, but the holidays have kept me extremely busy. I'm hoping to slip back into normalcy this week and I can look at upcoming projects and perhaps be able to take orders for these.

I'd be very interested in buying one for my soon to be x-wing pilot. I'm in Queensland Australia, so I'm not sure if they would be allowed into the courntry.

I joined this board after stumbling on this thread via a google search, but now hope to contribute more, as I'm just getting into costuming. Those DL-44's look brilliant! The only thing they're missing is the piston halves on the reverse side of the gun from the scope. If that's the quality of project and advice to be found around here, I can't wait to read more!

Thanks Jason-

Hopefully I'll be doing these soon. I just need to get clear of the helmet orders that got backed up during the holidays.

About the piston halves- I was using Luke's ESB blaster as the model for this blaster and his didn't have the piston halves. Since this is intended as a mostly-in-the-holster prop anyway, the piston halves wouldn't show. Plus, I figured folks could customize their own as much as they want.
