I was thrilled to see the Endor Rebel Trooper blaster on display at SWIC yesterday, and did my best to get some comparison pictures:

General impressions:

The blaster kit looks really, really good in comparison to the blaster on display. Yes, there are some minor tweaks that would be made... but the overall scale, size and look are right on. I am extremely pleased with how Jim's blaster kit looked in comparison and will proudly troop with it, especially knowing that mine looks far better at point blank range than does the blaster on tour.

It's that whole "what looks good enough for film" thing... where we have to look good at 1 foot range.

Great job on the kit, Jim --you should be proud!!!

Awesome pictures, thanks for sharing!!! And yes, Jim's kit - with a little love and care - can make a damn good Rebel blaster. I'm very proud of mine.

In time I'll put together a lit of the minor tweaks that I'll do to get mine slightly more accurate. I don't do resin work (yet), but there's one little side greblie that is needed, plus some other stuff.

But first I'm going to do my backpack...

I was very excited to see that blaster there. Finally we can get some of those details added and corrected. But man is it rough.
