Another thing we need to think about in reactivating the Kessel Base Squadron.

Hothgirl posted in this thread
http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18679&highlight=spice+runners
that, although Dagobah Base will release the Spice Runners name back to our squadron upon reactivation, they will keep the logo.

Post your ideas here. I am trying to think of some, but have "Artist's Block" right now, so please help.

If we need someone who can do the artwork, when we get to that point, I may be able to help. I have some skill, plus a more experienced artist friend who might be willing to lend his expertise.

You might also consider contacting Tony (AMP). He designed the last one and may be willing to help you guys out with ideas and art.

With our application in to the RLSC its time to start throwing out ideas for a logo. I've talked to Tony and he's willing to help us.

The only suggestion I've placed out there so far is I think it might be interested to see how a logo looks with incorporating some of the colors from our base logo in it. At this point I'm thinking the Turquiose and the Silver but that's just an idea.

If any one has any other ideas place them here.

Are Purple and Gold available? Weren't those the colors used in the last logo?

Dagobah is keeping the old logo and revamping it a bit. Probably just the name.

That's the impression I got from various threads on the topic.

I like the Turquiose and the Silver color scheme as a start. I have had one idea.

I was looking at the picture of Kessel in the Wookieepedia article
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kessel & thought the planet & moon, with an X-wing flying in front of it, has possibilities as a logo.

It'll be inarguably us & visually depicts the Kessel/Spice Runner tie.

That idea sounds good... what if we use the blue color from the new base patch? That way they play off each other?

That sounds great! The more the 2 are connected, the better, in my opinion. So where would we have the blue? For the background? I think the starry backdrop in the original image would make a logo too busy looking, so a solid color behind the moon, Kessel & snub might look better.

Here are a couple ideas I put together. The turquiose didn't convert very well, it should be darker than it appears here.

Both logos are great.

I like the first one better as its a bit more unique.

I've already PM'd Tony with a couple of comments, since I wasn't able to post here until today.
Like Cami, I like the first a little better, it has Kessel at the bottom; I missed that earlier, & it's a very nice touch. The second does look really good with the turquoise border. Would it be too much of that color, if the lettering on the first one was in turquoise?

I think the border turquoise would be too much to me. How about the lettering on the outer border in that color? That would spread things out a bit more

That's what I was thinking, "Spice Runner Squadron," Kessel Base" & possibly "Rebel Legion" as well. For some reason "Rebel Legion" doesn't stand out at all.

I also like the way the S-Foils extend into the outer border, btw.

Here are a couple of suggested changes.

I like the top one. The red to me is too close to other logos out there, so I want to stay away from that if at all possible. Looking around I've seen a few that use the X-Wing and red is part of their squadron colors.
