I'm about 80% mentally committed to doing a classic Chewie.
Then the idea struck me of doing him in disguise from "Shadows of the Empire".

What would he be? Would he be accepted ad RL or would I have to go 501st due to the bounty hunter disguise.

Has anyone seen this before? I thought it might be rather unique

I'm currently stationed in Hawaii and can't get to any cons so I haven't been to anything in a few years. So I'm wondering

Thanks in advance to any responses.

That's an idea. An easier route would be the Life Day robes from the Star Wars Holiday Special. Shocked Wink

On a side note, hopefully, you can take the Falcon and meet your fellow Endorians at WonderCon next year, Tig. If not, keep your eyes and ears open for when and where Celebration V is happening next year.

Very Happy

I like where your heads at! I think that would be an awsome costume. I was thinking it would be sweet to do a group of Mcquarrie Costumes. How sweet would that be??
A Shadows group would def kick some tail too!

Billy, as long as it is a "good guy" and he is in a disguise it would most likely be accepted in RL. If you want to do this costume you would need to provide 3 photo references.

Technically Snoova is a bounty hunter and would be 501st. But Chewie as Snoova would be a 501/RL costume.... kind of like Boushh/ Leia.

I have done research on this costume, and the 3 references do exist for entrance into the 501st and or RL.

I was going to say, doesn't Chewie as Snoova fall under the same conditions as Han and Luke in stormtrooper disguise?

I mean, isn't it basically the same concept?

Awsome could you maybe point me in the right direction?
I've seen the one they did for the game card, what other ones have you seen? Would comic art count?

Comic art counts as well as novels. If you want a verification as to what is acceptable and what isnt... contact the Fringe LCJ'S or LMO. I Think Thomas does the 501st stuff... and he is pro EU for sure!

Things to note:
His eye piece changes color from red to green in some of the pics. He also has a variety of changes in locations, and armor setups. There no known costumes as of yet for Snoova done yet... so whoever gets it first ends up setting thr presidence for it.

By the way... this just happens to be my goal for CV... so dont be supprised if your not the only one with it by then.. Wink

I think I'm goingto do this. I have my Chewie stuff, I've just been dragging serious bummage between moving from Hawaii to AZ to TX & then buying a house down the street from the one we were renting and moving to that all in the last 13 months and I'm about to deploy for 12 months. But I just saw Celebration VI tix went on sale today and that wouldbe an awsome welcome home.

Any suggestions.

Have you done your homework on the wookiee part of the costume yet? I would start with Matts reference page if you havn't first. **GotWookiee's Chewbacca Resource page**

Then I would go over some of the Frequently asked questions... FAQ's

Once you feel your ready over a span of time... when you can afford it I would start by getting your Latch hooking material together... hair and mesh fabric.

You will also have to decide which route you want to go... stilts of lifts.

Do not forget to document your progress... you will kick yourself if you don't... not to mention all the other wookiees who will kick you too! Smile

If you stumble on the way, give us a roar and will try to answer any questions you might have. Wookiees take time to make, so I would get started as soon as you can!

Thanks Bob

Yeah I got a voucher for my hair for Christmas 09 from my wife and got it soon after.

I have actually started latch hooking my suit about a year ago but got stalled with MOS school & 2 moves.

I'm going to go with lifts ala Duck, who I have bought the mask/skull from.

The trick is going to be able to do either Chewie or Snoova.

On a side bar does anyone know a good Boushh helmet resource for my wife. I'll either be able to be her prisoner or co-bounty hunter/disguised Rebel with her.

ScubaJedi got hers from Sandman on the RPF. Gorgeous helmet! It's a rotocast, with extremely crisp details. I'm not sure if he's still making them, but it's worth a PM.

I would also contact member of the boushhbuilders... they seem to have been around a while.

I did a ton of work on my wifes Boushh a few years back, if you need any info... send me a PM.
