light sabers are a personal thing. Each jedi creates their own and thus the designs are diffrent. if you are wanting to create your own which i recommend if you are doing a generic jedi then be creative. Look at ones used in the films and ones other people have done and create one that fits you. i have made 2 a custom saber and an Anakin replica saber. Their is a thread here somewhere thats for showing off sabers check it out for pictures of what others have done i still need to post some of mine their. _________________ |

Wow, that title sounds kind of demanding.
If you scroll about 2/3 of the way down the main page of the Jedi forum, there's a long thread called "Show off your lightsaber". I guess you never noticed that thread, huh?
Maybe I should go bump it up. _________________

sadly, anything to do with a face character comes with a price. However, you could just get the Hasbro Force FX saber, which is currently in production. You can find those anywhere from $70-$120, it's one the cheapest and easiest routes. |

Yes this was another idea i had was to get my fx lightsaber converted so i could have a removable blade and i have even asked about and left my number at various shop asking if they have any returned broken call me as i will buy this off them.... However i have not yet received any calls they either dont brake or the shop sends them back to the supplier...
But my mission is to get this sorted so fingers crossed and i hope the force is with me on my mission..... |

You might want to post over at www.ultrasabers.com- somebody there might be willing to sell you one, which you could have modified at a later time. |

I have seen one or two broken force fx sabers for sale on Ebay, where the blade is broken from the hilt. You may be able to find one cheap if someone is trying to sell it. |

That link doesn't work because there's a dash at the end of the url. This one will work. http://www.ultrasabers.com/
I don't think most people bring their broken sabers back to the stores where they got them. They either send them back themselves, or sell them on ebay, or get them converted.

re: damaged FX's
as long as the soundcard works, then the saber can be converted to use a single LED in the hilt + removable blade
-->goto forum at FX-sabers.com and scroll down to the "trade federation".
post in the "Wanted" section, for a used/broken obiwan FX with a working soundcard.
http://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/index.php
this is also where you'll find the official Ultrasabers forum, so you'll be hitting two birds with one stone. hehe |

If you plan to do EP 3 Obi-Wan, you must have the Obi-Wan hilt. You can either purchase the MR hilt, the FX lightsaber, or you can try to make one out by purchasing the correct parts. _________________
