Rockstar mentality 101.

If you personally like the attention and want to shine as the star be Chewy
If you want attention for what you have done but dont want personal glory like with Chewy then make R2.
If you want to be in the band and yet still have some fame be Vader.
If you want to be in the band but not the main cast be a Stormtrooper.

LOL This makes sense on the flip side too... I'm a Stormtrooper, and I'm the manager of a band...

Chewie is looking great!

Quick update. The punching is going much faster and smoother now. Obviously some major trimming to do, but I'm quite pleased so far.

You're making great progress, Chris.

On a side note; Did you use the sound system for the 'partial' debuting event?

Hey Chris, Odd request, but when you're completely done, any chance to have a short Youtube video of getting into the costume? This thread is awesome to read, but I think the icing on the cake would be showing how it all "fits together" to turn from human into wookie...

I saw one of these videos prior to starting my TK costume, and it really helped make sense of all the parts...

We'll see, but it's amazingly pretty easy.
Pants (w/suspenders)
Feet
Shirt
Bandolier
Mask
Gloves

Compared to my Vader which takes about 10 minutes (but which I can do myself which somehow amazes many of the people I troop with). I do have simple athletic ankle braces to help with support on the 8" tall feet.

Didn't quite get as much time today as I'd hoped, but I at least got this far......

The goal is to be ready to take approval pictures by about this time next week. I need to finish the face, trim things up and I'm ready for my closeup!!!

Hope you don't mind a little constructive critisism!

I would make the moustache hairs shorter, about 4 to 5 inches in fact or even less with some, it will make it much easier to get them to sit flat.
Provided you punch them in flat!
Otherwise the hairs will be falling down over the mouth corners.

In this pic you can see that the tache hair is considerably shorter than most of the hair.

Also some of the chin hairs are shorter too, particularly close to the bottom lip, it will help curl the hair under the chin slightly so that it won't hang so straight, hope that makes sense!!!
