I think that's totally brilliant.
Having the group in general look over your costume can provide affirmation, critique and most importantly, shared experience from those who have already done the costumes and overcome issues. It's also a great way to find other sources for items! By the time you get to the LCJ queue for formal approval, you've got the requirements checked off and all the images required for an easy pass. We LOVE those kinds of apps!!!
I would recommend posting them either in your base forum (local help rocks and brings you closer to your home community) or the Jedi forum with "what do you think?" Something so simple will give everyone a chance to chime in with suggestions. I started something like that for my local base here and it's worked well. _________________

I was wondering about how to apply for 'informal' status for a costume?
When I go to the 'Add a Costume' page I don't see a box or anything for saying if a costume is formal or informal. Did I miss it? _________________

Greetings and hello everyone, I just completed and finished my full Admiral Ackbar costume and I am ready to submit my pictures to the Rebel Legion for costume approval. I was looking for the application link here on the forums to submit the pictures, but I couldn't find the application link. Does anyone have the link to the application here on the forums? |

Hi Albert, if you go to the links at the top of the page and click 'my costumes', when that opens on the left you'll see a link that says 'add a costume '. That's what you're looking for! _________________

My generic jedi costume is about half way done, in accordance with the standards however I have been looking with my wife for a costume idea for her since her hair is short and does not conform with the Leia face character requirements. Any ideas for alternate personas for her, she seemed to be hesitant for a Rey costume since she is older than the character... Any help would be appreciated. |

Hi Yougra. This isn't exactly the right thread for this, but really, your wife can be whatever she wants to be. If she wants to do Leia, she could wear a wig, or even pin on pre-made buns to the side of her head. That's what I do, since my hair is really short too. There are a lot of generic options out there too, like pilots, officers, troopers, and aliens. _________________

Hello from Romania.
I need a little more help.
I'm almost ready with my first costume (general jedi Rahm Kota).
Can you direct me to the judge member who I can talk about the costume and how can I prepare to approve my costume.
Thank you! |

Hello Max. I would post in the Jedi section and ask for input.
