No, not another Han, but....

'The galaxy's second-coolest smuggler!', BoShek!

Unlike Han Solo, this smuggler's always ready for a sudden cabin decompression.

If/when I get it approved, I believe I'll be the only BoShek in the RL! Fingers crossed!

Mark

I really like how you are taking some of your costumes in different directions, Mark.

First your Moisture Farmer (your pics for this costume aren't showing up in your profile, by the way) and now this one. Good job.

I think I know who it is.

Yep- that's him (Lori whispered it to me)! You get this month's 'Eagle Eye Award'! I wasn't going to tell people where in the movies he was and see who asked!

Thanks for the compliments on the costumes- I really like a lot of the OT 'almost background' characters, particularly those in ANH.

Not sure why the main photo isn't showing up- I'll see what I can do; thanks for the heads-up on that one.

Mark

I don't get the spelling award, though. I thought I proof read my above post, but apparently didn't. Embarassed

I corrected it, but you already quoted the misspelled one. Oh well. Razz

Did I spoil your fun, in seeing if people will ask, since I got it right away? I can edit my post, if you want, but you'll have to edit the quote, too.

You did an amazing job with that one. Having you show me the reference materials and then seeing the finished project has me needing to say "Way to Go!!!" Be nice if you could march in it with the pilots at least once.

Thanks Rick!

That would be fun, but I'm just not sure anyone would know who he is. I'll let you know if my opinion is valid after wearing this at the FX show in a couple weeks! If I don't jog any memories there, then there's no hope for a Disney audience.

That's cool, Mark! We have a member in our base that's making the Tonnika Sisters along with her twin sister!

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Tonnika_sisters

There was debate whether these characters would fall under "Fringe" or "Rebel Supporters".

Any thoughts?

If they were con artists, I'd say they are Fringe.

I'd agree with Lori's assessment- fringe. Someone over at the RPF was wondering something similar about BoShek- if he was good (RL), or bad (501st).

The 501st doesn't seem as accepting of these 'gray area' characters as much as the RL does (unless its a Tusken or Jawa), so I'm happy to have BoShek here no matter what category he falls in. I don't mind the RL being the 'catch all' for characters that don't fit into traditional categories of bag guys/good guys.

The Tonnika sisters would be great! I'd love to see more Cantina characters in general. Those costumes range from the very simple and cheesy to some of the coolest in the whole OT. However, they are all in a class of their own, having the notoritey of being in one of the most famous scenes in movie history.

If we ever get enough of them, we should have a category called 'Cantina Patrons' or 'Cantina Regulars'.

I agree, Mark. Hopefully the live-action series will delve into back stories about the cantina characters, like Dr. Evazan and Ponda Boba. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if someone made a "Jenny" costume - she was the woman who gives Han a kiss at his booth in a deleted scene in the cantina. Very Happy
