Okay, here is what I have done so far. I am trying for a ANH TUsken look.

I painted my resin pieces. I used FolkArt Metallic Silver Sterling and weathered with Metallic Antique Copper to creat a little rust. Both are acrylic and can be found at Wal-Mart.

After a few failed attempts with vinyl, I used a piece of leather to wrap the snout.

Tonight I cut up some old belts and did a strap test around the snout. Hope to start gluing after work on Tuesday. Very Happy

That's what I have done so far. I'll keep updating with my progress!

Mr. Green

I like your weathering, but I have to wonder just how "rusty" things are going to get on a dessert planet like Tattooine. Wink

Well, moisture does condense on the units and produce mushrooms according to Tatooine Ghost. Wink

This week was a slow go because of gluing the leather belts on. Lots of gluing and clamping. Laughing

BUT here is what it looks like now!!! Very Happy Very Happy

Tomorrow I am going to set the spikes, glue the black mesh(eyes and mouth) and add the foam inside. I also hope to start cutting the strips so I can wash and dry them. By the next Sunday I could have a Tusken head!! (If everything goes as plan of course. Wink

Okay, been looking at the spikes but I'm not sure where they go on the head.

Is there any measurements for this or is it more just put them where they look good?

Confused Confused

Sorry, I meant the four spikes on the head of the Tusken.

But I will take that link for later use. Wink Very Happy (Thanks!)

Here are the measurments for the pieces themself. I don't have the measurements between the spikes from left to right or front to back here with me. I post those this evening.

Thanks for your help! Look forward to those measurements! Wink Very Happy

Here is what little I did on Sunday.

Filled in the the black mesh on the mouth.

My mesh came from a black hood found during Halloween. I plan to also use this for the eyes as well.

More to coming!

These measurement are based on my kit from Godzilla. They are 2.75" up from the top of the installed aluminum eyes and 5.5" apart. The rear spikes are 5.25" from the front spikes & they are 4.5" apart. These were taken from roughly center to center.
Hope this helps.
