Hey Maboot38
I got my Compad and flight suit. How did you get the Compad to stay in the right position since the pocket is so big?
Thanks

Or you could attach your compad to something that would fit in the pocket more snugly -- a piece of cardboard, or maybe craft foam (I quite like craft foam; my entire compad is made of craft foam).

I used Industrial Strength Velcro on my commpad. It doesn't move.

You made one of those too, huh? So did I just to see how it would turn out.

I'm not going to use it, because I have a resin one, I just felt like trying it.

Okay, here's mine. I had the robots at work cut the pieces out with their lasers. It's lightweight, surprisingly durable, and easily replaced if need be.

I based mine off of my resin version from Corellian exports. Which I think it more movie accurate, but I've seen other versions that look cooler.

I don't have access to a laser, so I had to do mine with a ruler and X-acto knife. And my leather hole punch.

Then I painted a few coats of white glue over it to stiffen it a bit and give it a more plastic look, then put on a few coats of clear acrylic. Razz

Sorry for the late response. My wife just gave birth, so I've been a little busy!

I used double sided tape for the compad, and it has held together great so far!

Thank you all, I like all your ideas.
I am still working on my Uniform, I hope to have it done before the Comic-Con.
Thanks again

Which Comic-Con? There are several throughout the country at different times of the year.

I'm guessing San Diego, since I've seen you signed up on the Sunrider Projects board. But you could have signed up just so you could read the boards.

Hello everybody, I am new to the forum wanted to say hi to all. And I am trying to piece together a X-wing Pilot costume as well. A word of warning. I suck at Sowing, and finances are low ( what a surprise). Razz

Anyone with advice on where to start? and Where I can go for more affordable pieces?
