Well the surgery was today and although the doctor was running an hour behind and he didn't go in until 1:40 or so, the surgery went extremely well. From what the doctor said, the hernia was pretty big but they repaired it with no problems at all. Yay!!!

When he woke up, we went to see him in recovery and he was doing pretty good but obviously a little out of it due to the anesthesia. Since then, the only problem he had was when we were driving home and stopped by Wendys to get him a frosty and some fries to get some food in his system, he was feeling nauseous and almost threw up.

He's feeling a little sore and it definitely does hurt to move around but other than that he's doing very well! I'm just happy to have it over with!

Oh yeah and I got him a teddy bear to help him feel better. Razz And his sister got him a little cow. Haha! Well there's an update for anyone who wanted to know! Very Happy

Well here's a small update on him. Since the doctors prescribed Percoset to him, he took it just cause it's doctor's orders. Since then he's been nauseous and sick to his stomach and I figure it's just from the Percocet cause he's never had this reaction to anesthesia before and he's been put under a lot of times before.

But we're taking care of him. I've made him lots of Jello (with love might I add) and we'll be keeping him away from the Percocet and hope Ibuprofen will do the job as far as pain killing.

I'm glad the procedure went well! Get some food into his system at least 30 mins before taking the percocet and that should help.

GET WELL SOON!! Ben

Well he did actually. He had fries and a frosty from Wendys and he was pretty full. And about thirty minutes after he took the medicine, he threw it all up. It could be an allergic reaction to the percocet but either way... I don't think he's gonna take anymore cause first off he hates throwing up in the first place and it hurts his incision BADLY when he does.

I feel so terrible for him. Sad

Yeah and he can't keep anything down right now. So we're just hoping he feels better in the morning maybe when all medications are out of his system.

I think Ibuprofen will help him a little. He uses it for all kinds of pain and it works for him at least. I just know he won't want to move around for a few days after all of this is over.

Me either, and my mother swears by it... always "pushing" it on me... LOL...

Poor Josh! I'd call the doctor and get something different for the pain... percoset is hard on the tummy...

Jello with love should help!

He's doing better today. At least he's able to keep stuff down. But so far he hasn't wanted to take any pain meds despite the fact that it hurts him a LOT to move around too much. I've been having to help him walk a little but we're trying to walk him around the house so he gets used to it. The more he walks, the less painful it seems to be.

But he's surviving! And he did have some of the jello his step-dad and I made for him. He loved it. Haha!

*Cough* Ow *Cough* Ow. Hey guys, finally got enough energy to waddle over to the computer and check out all the stuff that's been going on. LoL

And i just wanted to say that i am feeling better, and i wanted to thank you all for being so supportive, your the best friends, and fellow jedi a guy could ask for.

Now i better hop back into that bacta tank, and tell those Medical Droids to hurry up so i can get back into the action!

I hope to see you all very soon!

Josh
