So far, my Jedi costume is 75% complete. I have gotten the pants, tunic, inner tunic, obi, tabards, belt and saber done so far. I now just need the pouches, boots, food caps and possibly the communicator and/or droid caller to be finished.

I will have pictures up hopefully by tomorrow, if I can find my digital camera.

Sounds good and welcome back. I look forward to seeing your images.

Here is a picture, although not very good. Taken with my cell phone and the mirror on the bathroom door.

I'll get better pictures soon. I have a robe, but it needs about another foot to foot and a half added to its length, and I am unsure I can get the same material, as it was done just before Ep 1 was released.

Be sure when making your pics for your application that everything hangs right, the obi and belt are not "slanted", the tabards are even, etc. Just do some primping in front of the mirror before making those pictures. And don't forget a really cool action shot for your official membership picture.

I will tell you that, for my pictures, not having anyone to help...I would easily spend 20 minutes AFTER getting dressed and looking in various mirrors to make sure everything is just right before pressing the button Wink

Also, I'm not sure but I think your tabbards might be on backwards... I only know this cause I was the one that sewed all the hooks and loops on it. It looks like its hanging too far forward and make the ends bend too quickly. you might take a pen or something and mark an arrow saying left right or front back type of thing.

How much material should I get to make a robe? I have a source from some brown fleece, would that work?

I am 5'11 3/4", but I usually just say 6'. I know that it has to drag on the ground some, but not sure.

It doesn't have to drag, just be close. Obi-Wan's robe doesn't drag in Episode II, nor does Qui-Gon's in Episode I. Just find a length that gets close; since you are tall it may even look better if it just skims a bit off the ground. Qui-Gon was also tall; I would say look to him for a good length.

Also, it Really is better for your robe, if it doesn't drag. My heart bleeds a little everytime I see My robe touching the ground on a rainy Day ;-)

So, if I went with like 7 to 8 yards, I would be fine than? I figured that much, to allow for errors.
