So I've got that old pattern for men that included the Jedi pattern and a pseudo Papaltine/Senator something or other, I was thinking that I could modify that and use it for the Senator Mon Mothma over drap. I've since lost the envelope jacket and I need the info on the back. If someone cuold photocopy it and send me a link, that would be a big help. Also if anyone has done this and could give me a few pointers on it, that'd be great as well! Thanks so much!!!!

P.S. I have no clue what to do for the headpiece, or does it even need a headpiece to be included?? The medallion thing, I'm doing from sculpey. And were do we sign up for the RLGS?

I'm working on Mon Mothma as well. The only suggestion I have for the headpiece is this ... don't use Paper Mache - It shrinks and takes DAYS to dry ... more like a week .. and that was with the "Quick dry" stuff I bought.

OK guys, she's done. I did the Senator Mon Mothma from the deleted scenes of ROTS.

Tell me what you think - I'll be submitting her this week once I clean up and crop her pics ...

No need to crop the pics, all costume submissions are not to be altered in any way. It is listed in the directions in the application. Looks nice.

That other "senator" pattern is actually supposed to be one of the aliens from Utapau (did I spell that right?). I'm not sure why they chose to include him, since he's such a minor character! Did you get a picture of the back of the envelope yet? I have this pattern, I could probably take a digital picture of the back for you if you still need it (I don't have a working scanner or I'd scan it for you).

For the Mon Mothma headpiece, you could try craft foam. I've seen some Padme headpieces made out of painted craft foam and they look really good.

I too was thinking of doing this version of Mon Mothma but could not find the fabric for the sleeves. It is ok for the sleeves to be solid as shown in your pictures? It is different from the ROTS version where the tabbard is solid and the sleeves have the pattern.

I love the fabric you used.. really pretty.. Great job with the headpiece also.

My age is better for the older version but I really like this one.

I used a lovely fabric, though the pattern repeat is a little small.

This was an open knitted fabric and I backed it with a sheer viscose. The sleeves have been sewn in but not hemmed. Ditto on the neck and skirt hem.

I am not planning on finishing this costume so if anyone wants it I am more than happy to pop it in the post!

And because I missed the post in Feb: Regina your costume looks great Smile
