It does look bent. Maybe it's angled because it's shot from the shoulder...?

That looks more like something that would be on a tripod. Doesn't look like it's meant to be a shoulder fired weapon.

It's like he picked it up to move it, and is trying to fire it as he gets away.

I dunno, the caption that went with it stated:

Quote:
"Two soldiers fire a laser bazooka at the monster and it is obscured by an enormous explosion."

Might be one of a few items to even go with the Vanguard Trooper I'm workin' on *grin*

Well from the way it looks...it might be a 30. cal from WWII with a bunch of add ons.

Maybe a tripod? Or a bunch of stuff left over from the prop department that they threw together.

Is this from a cut scene? Cuz I don't remember it.

Maybe the "monster" they're referring to is a Wampa that got loose after 3-PO took the warning sign off the door where they were keeping the captured ones they had, and the Storm Troopers opened the door.

EGAD! off topic...
but where were you a week ago with that screen capture?

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I am working on the Hoth vest and the one screen capture I had that allowed me any visual on the back of that vest showed much smaller quilting.....
so I spent a week making weeeeeeeeeee little quilting triangles on the back...
the front you could see the larger triangles of quilting..
but not the back...

I am going outside to shoot myself...

Shocked

and I agree...
I don't remember ever seeing that shot in the film...

my bad...

I got the picture not long before I posted this topic. Go to the following link and then choose the ESB for the pictures. It's a deleted scene they had for the wampa attack.

http://galactic-voyage.com/Star%20Wars%20Cut%20Scenes.htm

There is also a pretty good side shot of the vest as well in black and white. I've been pondering doing this outfit actually ever since it got ironed out to the gray jumpsuit with the brown vest *chuckle* After that, I'd need a hat.

I have a casting from the original mold of the RFT blasters and its barrel is also bent. Perhaps its a Rebel standard.

I was watching ESB in HD yesterday and I thought I saw another one of those blasters in the trench scene.

I think it is where they got the idea for the Anti-Vehicle rocket system... It would make sense that you would have the shoulder-fired missile launcher system.
