Has anyone gotten the Costumebase vest and put tubing into it? Just curious how it looks, since a friend wants a pilot costume and I'd rather eat a lightsaber than make another vest.... Laughing Laughing

Looks great Grampy-Wan!

One magnet isn't enough to hold the hose in place, so Granny glued all three of them to a washer and it holds fine.

You can also put a magnet on the inside of the washer before you glue it to the PVC elbow. Just make sure you orient the magents on the jumpsuit so they don't repell the other one.

I keep super glue around for when I get some nasty cuts that don't require the emergency room. I've glued a few that could have used a couple stitches. Healed up just fine and only cost me a couple bucks instead of hundreds.

I just did this last week and it looks fantastic!!! I'm so glad I didn't try to make this on my own. Mr. Green

I will be there around 5:30 pm. I have all the spray paint and stuff the kit requires to finish the chest box.

I ordered the gloves and waiting for the vest. I emailed elvistrooper early Tuesday morning and have not heard back from him. I need to get those arm tools. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I also have the pieces ready to sand the leg flares. I will have to make the piece to hold them in too. That shouldn't take too long - I hope.

If you have a sewing machine...bring it! Mine is working but is very fussy and I really had to fight with it when I was making my leg flares last year. Hopefully the weather holds up enough for us to get some painting done, I haven't been able to work on my helmet at all with the rain!

Thank you thank you to Mike, Cindy and Dave for coming by tonight. I know a lot of my questions got answered and I'm confident I'll have this thing ready to roll by parade time!

OK. I am finally back to finishing the pilot costume. I was in Vegas this past weekend and I was starting to get sick before I left and ended up being sick the past few days. I am now working on the harness and I was wondering if the loops are sewed together or just velcroed. I also need to know what buckles I need for the vest. Do I just request them from Mr BoJangles? Does anyone know how much they are?

Thanks!

Are you using the diagram from Alpha Base for the straps? THe loops are sewn together and attach to the vest by velcro.

The buckle from mr Bojangles was $15, I think.
