I considered being a cheerleader in high school, tryouts didn't go well though. I was trying out as a flyer and they switched my bases for the final night to two girls who had dropped every girl they'd lifted, so I refused...

Anyways...This sounds really fun to me. I'd be interested.
Something simiular happened to me. I was trying out for a base - the girl I was supporting started screwing around and thought she was funny. Lost her balance - I couldn't hold her and she landed on my head. I got a concusion and screwed up my neck, she messed up her ankle. I had to stop trying out since I couldn't look up to hold people. Which sucked - because I was the only base trying out to replace the one graduating.

I had no problem with tryouts and made the team but when we were at a game I was a base. I had to catch a girls head and her underarms hit my inner elbow, which made my had fly up into her mouth. She had braces on and they gashed my lower thumb. I still have a scar from this day.

I was not a cheerleader in High School, and went to an Art School for College, so no cheerleaders there.

I was in the A/V squad in High School and did work/study job at the A/V dept in college. So yeah I was an A/V geek.
And I was editor of my High School yearbook, for added geekness. Razz

These cheerleaders are better than in High School.

Jocks are ignored and geeks are the heroes on the "field".
