In BF 1 and 2, they change the looks of some character classes to match the location. I.e. if they are on the Tantiv IV, then they all look like RFTs, if on Hoth, ... they look like Hoth Troopers.

The BFG the pilot has is a "grenade launcher," as opposed to a rocket launcher that the Vanguards use.

It's all kinds of screwy (in a strict costuming sense), but it does work in the game. Wink

I'll bust out my X-Box and BFII and map out what the Vanguard looks like in different locations.

Okay, I did some research, and the Rebel Vanguard with the black vest and tan pants is not in Battlefront II. There are a few cases where the Vanguard has a regular RFT uniform (Tantive IV, Kamino, and the Marines in all space battles), and on Hoth they're wearing the Hoth cold-weather gear, but in all the rest the Vanguard is wearing the modified Rebel Technician costume.

Here are some pics of all the Rebel uniform variations in BF2 for your reference. They are courtesy of http://battlefront.gportal.hu/ which has really some good images from both BF1 and 2, though it's in some other language. Click on the "Képek" links on the left for screenshots.

So it looks like the sources for the Rebel Vanguard previously described are the BF1 game, the BF1 guide, and the action figure. That still leaves it with 3 referecnes, so it still can be formal.

Looks like the action figure version seems to be the most popular so far. I just need belt, pouches, holster, bandolier, and spats. Oh and gun Wink

It weighs a TON....
I can only hold it in an "aiming" position for so long...then my arms start to shake...

off the top of my head, i think there are only two other Vanguards in the legion (maybe three?). I do believe your weapon dwarfs theirs. Well played!
