Very nice, work. What is that lineage of the armor? Anthony Daniels suit or the Disney version? I have a set of stuff descended from the Disney suit which I am converting into a Threepio backpack for my Chewie costume.

In true Anakin style, 3po is pieced together from different sources.
The main source for the suit is a Golden Armour kit, most of which is the Disney suit. The helmet/head was changed to a more screen accurate version.
I did upgrade some awesome parts from TK409, and Starbuck cylon.
I am also a member of the c3pobuliders forum, a very valuable source for information, and parts for buliding statues and wearables.
Very Happy

Wow, that's really looking great. Nice job on it!

Hmm... Now I want to see someone as a "Gonk" droid. And, of course, they'd have to go around saying "gonk!" every so often. XD

Thanks for the compliments.
This has not been without it's challenges, believe me.
I have had to comprimize here and there, but all in all I am pleased with the way it's turning out.

From 1 3PO to another...........

GREAT JOB!

I see the hands are static and not wearable.

Are you planning to make this a Wearable costume?

Thank you.
Yes, it will be wearable, eventually. The hands are just for reference.
Plating, I'm told may be a problem due to the patching that i've done.
Hmmm...

Got some good news on the plating front.
It can be done, by a place in Canada.
They are familliar with the suits, and have great results.
Very Happy
Now, to get it passed customs... Laughing

I could say something about the great work you've done, but instead I'll marvel at your work space and how organized it is. Compared to my Combat Zone work bench (with empty beer bottles, HIPS plastic scraps, sawdust and piles of junk still kicking around from an R2 build 2 winters ago), your work bench is a surgeon's operating theater!

Seriously, though, hope you're still chugging along with this. It looks great. I like your mods and how your shoulders aren't too broad (that seems to be a problem with a lot of 3POs). Good luck with the plating.

Thanks Duck,
Yes i am still plugging away at this.
3PO keeps complaining that he isn't "a bit more completed"
I should've never connected his voice box.
Anyway, the collar/ neck ring has slowed me down a bit, but i re-sculpted a newer one, and will post those pics soon. Also made some mods to the arms. I need to get back in shape before i try it on again, damn those Holiday goodies..lol
Oh, and the work space is a disater now.
Very Happy

um, hello
I have resculpted the neckring and scratch built some elbow parts.
The neckring I had with this suit wasn't the most accurate, and mine isn't the best, but it is closer, don't you think?

The neckring hasn't been attached yet, as it still needs some work and detail added.

here are the elbow greeblies, scratch built from leftover parts, and um, some other pieces...

Ummm there was a Gonk done, once, a coule of years ago. It made a debute appearance and was quickly retired.

That poor trooper will never live it down, either! Rolling Eyes
