The blast shield and visor are attached with velcro and are interchangeable. The chin cup and strap are also velcro attached and removable; I'm working on a similarly removable microphone (the M. Falcon helmet had no chin strap or mic).

The decals are printed on vinyl and the raised black circles are from a dollar-store hockey game toy.

Is that what you were asking?

The only compromise between the ROTJ and the M. Falcon helmet is the white edging on the bottom- it was black in the ROTJ photos.

Bah... Bah, I say. You've got a helmet that can work either as the lightsaber training one, or standard issue for a rebel pilot.

Bravo! Thumbs up

That was the idea!

For those who don't know (and I should have posted this at the top), it appears that the M. Falcon blast shield helmet was later altered into a standard X-Wing pilot helmet and used by a female pilot in footage that was shot, but not ultimately used, in ROTJ. The picture of this female pilot recently surfaced on SW Hyperspace; you can see it here at Wookiepedia:
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dorovio_Bold

There isn't definitive proof that it was actually the same prop, but odds are it was. Most, if not all, of the pilot helmets in ESB and ROTJ were re-uses of ANH helmets.

Yeah, in ESB after Leia gives her speech, there's a guy in the bottom left corner with Red Leader's ANH bucket!
