Brenda and I went last year, it was a lot of fun. We'll see how our budget is this year though.

Is anybody going to the 501st mixer saturday night jan 24th ? I hear its a blast. Tickets are like $28. Im going. Very Happy More info go to the phoenix con thread on the DSG forum.

Or consult your local ISO girl . . . which would be me. Smile

The show will be a lot of fun. It's a WWII-style USO type of thing (standard tunes rewritten with Star Wars lyrics), with singing and silliness, and then an awesome band playing afterward, called One Kitty Gone. They do ska/punk stuff, some of it is really funny.

It's Saturday night at 8:30, same time as the Masquerade, at the Mesa Hilton. All RLers and their guests are welcome. We expect all of the SW-related guests, and perhaps a few others. Smile

Anyone who doesn't know what the Imperial Service Organizations group is about should check us out on MySpace: www.myspace.com/501stISO

Costuming Panel IDEA! Oh no, I have an idea...

Since I'm wearing the Mara Jade, how about we include the concept drawing in our presentation, and talk about the transition from comic to costume???

Here's the Pic...

And the costume...

I like it, Granny.

There's now a good chance I will be in costume that night since I don't have any film Panels until Saturday. I plan on being in my Galen Marek costume most of the weekend if all goes well.

Hey i know that we are raffling off an Ultrasaber lightsaber. But are we doing anything else? Because Nichole and I were just at wal-mart, and they have Captain Rex Full costumes for only like 5 bucks. I was thinking maybe we'd pick some up and maybe raffle em off along with the lightsaber?

But what do you guys think?

I think that sounds cool! Pick up a few because we can always use stuff for if we a raffle at the Relay for Life again this year....or another raffle in our new future.

I've got two toy lightsabers and a video game thing save up for a future raffle. But it might be nice to have more than one prize to give away.

The raffle tickets say "LIGHTSABER RAFFLE" on them, but we could take the generic tickets (who has them?) and sell them cheaper (like 50 cents each) for kids...

BTW, I relented and bought passes, I can't hang around all day outside and not have access to indoor plumbing.... ROFL....

Hey guys! Kinda cool news! I talked to Alex at Ultrasabers today and he's actually giving us TWO sabers to raffle off. I forgot the name of the model but it's cool none the less!

So two raffles at Con? Wink

One on Saturday and one on Sunday? Or just two prizes for Sunday?

I thought you had the tickets, Joel...

Joel did you talk to him about one for the Relay for Life? I don't know if Brenda wants to do a raffle there but that might be a good prize to save unless they can provide another one.
