See...that's funny. I liked A better than B. Really it comes down to your choice though. maybe you can even do both and wear them at different times.

I would go with the browns, red and black would clash to much with what you already have. Red will draw the eye to much for my taste. It would almost scream "lookit me!". I would go with subtle colors. If you are on the fence, so to speak, the darkside wile be trying to win you over through subltey. Imho red calls to much attention to the being seduced by the darkside.

I think so, too.
I can always get the stuff (with a few minor part adjustments) and make the other for a "sith" look. Evil or Very Mad

Since I didn't think to take pics, the buckle on the front is in catalog as iten #7726-10... I'll try to scan it in later.

I'm thinking about using the spiked studs for the red/black belt.... item #1312-00 in the book

sure, a sith would be great, but no groups are accepting them, so I'm jsut a confused young padawan. Laughing

yeah, I know.... I'm not a straight-up jedi, but I'm not dark, eithter....... am I making sense?

No, not really. Confused (Anakin never wore black, btw)

now, the piece I'm rambling about :p

Yea, I just threw it on over my clothes, but I'll wear it properly tomorrow Smile

the gentleman in hte mirror is the maker of the belt. he did very well, I think.

What does everyone think?

It looks pretty good.

But my question is, did he make a keeper to go over the buckle in the back to hide it? That kind of ruins the look of the whole belt, for me. Neutral

There also doesn't look like there's any adjustment in the belt, of you lose or gain weight, you're going to have a problem.

It does look like it's pretty tight, which it good, of you don't want your lightsaber to make it sag on that side.

I think it looks great! Nevermind what Lloyd says, I know what you mean...

I like the overall look of the costume. If there were something that I would change, it would be the issue of the pant legs bunching up and the top of the boot. Either add some sort of gaitor-like boot top, or sew stirrups into the pant legs. This is so that when you put your boots on they stay smooth and won't bunch up. It would clean up the look much better, in my opinion!

the buckle in the back will be covered by my robe 90% of the time, so I'm not going to worry about it.. all else fails, I have some scrap black leather that I can wrap around it Smile

I'm going to work on fixing the pants sometime today before the event.

He said he'd adjust the belt as needed if I lose or gain anything.
and it's not really too tight, it's actually quite comfortable.

Not only do you need to fix the pants, it looks like you also need to get taller boots, if you want to submit this costume. They need to be taller than ankle height.

they are taller than my ankle: they come to the bottom of my calf muscle.

I'm going to rig up a pair of stirrups for the pants to make them look better.

*looks down at his own brown and tunics and black tabbards and boots*

It's a good start there lad, but from what I can see there are still a few things you'll have to tweak as you do it more. Don't worry no costume is ever perfect first time out.

The sash isn't bad, but it might need to be wider just cause your belt isgoing tomove and that's gonna be a pain when you walk around. Your tabbards are pretty alright though you might want to just adjust the length a bit so they're even at the bottom. It's a gaood start lad, keep working hard and you'll get there down the road

Smile

I just threw it on because the belt maker wanted to see how it all looked when it was on.

the obi is wider than it looks, so no worries there. It just decided to roll up a little. Razz

The tabards will be even when I suit up tonight for the event.

There will be pics posted later tonight of the entire getup after it's all put on correctly. Smile
