I believe so. I haven't really read through the tutorial because I am not in need of a droid caller for any of my costumes. But these guys do tend to build their props out of pvc, wood and various other odds and ends.

As far as tutorials go, these are pretty top knotch!

Be aware, though, that if you chose to buy PVC pipe for your project, PVC pipe is sometimes labeled by the inner diameter, as opposed to the outer one. This has confused many blaster builders..

I hit my local hardware store for some random piping. I spent about $7 and an hour and a half building my droid caller for my own Jawa costume.


It's very genaric looking, much like a random Jawa would have on them.
