Ok, so I think Im getting close to first try on proper.
here are my pics.
This is the try on of the shirt and Vest. Ignore the pants.
The boots are a canvas boot.
Once the weather cools down I will post up pics, bit warm her 36 degrees.
I also have made an A280, yet to install the sling.

I am not an expert on the ERT of ROTJ but I have some knowledge because I have done some research on it. I am more of an expert on the EA Battlefront costumes.
I think the color of your pants is very similar to the colors seen in the costume book. The belt pouches and bag are similar to what was used in the movie. The bandolier, boots, and blaster are ok.
I am not sure about the vest because I cannot see all details of it. The M60 rucksack is what everybody uses. I am not a fan of the greeblie on the top flap but it should be approvable. Personally, I would do a little extra work on the rucksack to make it more accurate but that is only my personal preference. I would remove the straps of the closures and add toggle buttons and eyeslets. That is what I did for my desert trooper rucksack.
The bill of your helmet is too long. It should be much shorter. DroidWelder () posted a template for the bill in his sales thread here on the forum that you can use. The closure is also not correct but I do not know how strict the judge is with such a minor detail.
The gaiters that you posted are not correct. The gaiters that you posted are military gaiters that are laced on the sides. The gaiters in ROTJ are made different and are laced up in the front. If I were you I would either make my own gaiters with the pattern from greyjedi here on the forum or I would buy them from 20EyesDesign on Etsy.

Ok, awesome, thanks for your feedback.
The vest was made by a local guy who is also going for RL approval. And it was done to the RL specs.
As for the bill on the hat, I might cut the back a bit and try and glue it in even further, that will reduce the length a bit.
Gaiters will make some myself and see how they turn out.
As for the pack, well I can use it or use just an A frame webbing with butt pack and pouches, I would not want to cut into the pack and change it as it cost a bit to get. So I'm not going down that path. _________________

I cannot see all the details of the vest so I was not sure if all of it is approvable. If the maker used the pattern and tutorial on the forum it should be ok.
I hope the changes to the bill will let it look a little bit smaller. May I ask where you got your donut? I am more used to the donuts from the two EA Battlefront games so I went back to my ROTJ movie screencaps because your helmet looks a little bit strange to me. I think it is too large but I would prefer to hear an opinion of a judge or a member that has an approved ERT ROTJ since I am not an expert and do not know all the approvable helmet sources.
Your backpack is approvable as it is. The suggestions I made are my personal preference but they are not mandatory.
I am not a fan of your belt because the ones in the movie were just olive green webbing with a black slider buckle. Your belt, belt pouches, and butt pack should be approvable under the current costume standard. If you use the A-frame you have to hide it under your vest so that is not visible.

thanks for posting. I used to be a judge and the ERT is my "thing", so to go with what Patricia suggested, my list wouild be
Make your own spats. I have a template if you need one. Those are WWII style infantry gaiters and wont work. Make sure they lay low on your boots so you dont see more than just a cople of laces. Also, I like the way your headgear is level to the deck, another big pet peeve of mine to see then roacked way back pointing up.
Shorten up the bill and make sure its attached to the donut and not the ANH15.
On the buttpack and any other pouch you have with straps, shorten the straps up and tuck them. I hate dangling straps. thats terrible battle discipline, so I always tuck them up, roll them up etc, and wrap them in OD green tape.
Your vest looks OK to me, It looks like mine. The ROTJ helmet and the game helmets are different both in size , shape and build. Id approve the hard donut,. Mine is a droidwelder and he only makes them in two sizes.
Weather up your gloves some. Go change a tire, change your oil, something to get them dirty.
You can weather up your vest some too. I weatherd mine a couple of months back with coffee, brown paint tint, tan paint tint, and wiping my rental van down with it. I ground the dirt into the shooting patch where it would normally get dirty, as well as a good stripe where something sprayed me acdros the back.
Good luck on your approval. _________________ Once I was Dewka, but now I'm just G'nott sH'urr

Thanks for the info.
I have a new pair of gaiters coming.
I have also made the bill shorter. So looks a bit better, will take photos soon.
Just the weather here is like 35 plus some days.
Trooping is very hot, unless they have aircon I wont troop. And the RL here has no PLI so no trooping. _________________
