Holiday Trooping Moratorium (12-09-2020)

Effective December 16th, Blue Ridge Base, alongside our sister group Carolina Garrison, will be instituting a temporary moratorium on in-person trooping. To coincide with current modified stay-at-home orders issued by North Carolina Governor Cooper, we will reevaluate January 8 whether to lift or continue this moratorium.

Until at minimum January 8, no in-person troops will be held, posted on the forums, or considered for census certification. Virtual opportunities are still allowed and encouraged!

We continue to encourage following the CDC's COVID safety guidelines: Wear a mask, stay at least 6 feet apart, avoid crowds, and wash your hands often. We hope to see each other again safely in the new year, as vaccines become available. The sooner cases go down, the sooner it is safe to troop again. As always, we are here to help if you have any questions!

Hi! Has the moratorium been extended? Or lifted? Or does it depend on the state or region? Asking because events are coming back, and Rock Hill is having a con the first weekend of February. I know some people will still not be comfortable with going out to such a public place, others are ready to get back out there and some could take it or leave it. I'm just asking about the moratorium itself. Thanks so much!
