Seriously, next to nobody does this helmet. It's the Rebel Standard! :p

I was (this) close to going that route, but some of the local pilots from MWB talked me out of it. Believe it or not, a AT-AT Driver (now in Mountain Garrison) came up with I used.

Which reminds me, I should take some pics of my bucket! Luke

I'm continuously fiddling with my helmet, and dont have updated pics uploaded yet except for this full body shot. As long as you can see the helmet...

Bernard, is that still the Rubies helmet you had the last time I saw you or a replacement?

If it is, please finish and post updated pics to show new pilots how much better a re-vamped Rubies can look like compared to a stock one.

Thats the same Rubies helmet from the Rose Parade. I've added several new decals since then and given it the occasional clear glossy coat.

Future Y-Wing helmet design.

Well, here it is.
Some of it was fun...some was not.
Some of it was easy...some of it was not.
All in all, about three and a half weeks of work.

In all honesty, I just can't seem to bring myself to messing...(weathering)... it up. Confused

Soooo, it will get weathered as I troop with it. Wink

Sure, trooping will scrape off some of the paint, but you still need to get it dirty and greasy looking. Wink

I have 3 helmets (so far), X-Wing, Rebel Fleet Trooper and Endor Commando, the RFT is the only one not weathered, and it shouldn't be.

I know I didn't spend as much time on my X-Wing as you did on your Y-Wing helmet, but always had it in mind to weather it, so I guess I don't understand people who don't.

But, to each, their own. Maybe they just don't feel as artistic as I do about that. raise eyebrows

I did take some photos of my helmet when the paint was pristine, just for posterity.
