I am still trying to figure things out...the beginnning of this new site is awfully messy!

I'd like to see this move along a bit.

All along I thought we needed 6 people to form a squadron, and then found out it was just 3! We've had the ability to form a squadron for a long time then, so we shouldn't really delay any longer in getting a name picked out!!

How about this. Go over the thread, and pick out just two names. If there really is a name you want that isn't mentioned yet that is OK. Then post a reply with your two choices (include your write-in if necessary). We can then gather the top what? 3? 5? names for the poll. Let us also give it until the end of the month, 30 April as the deadline for people to submit their top two choices. That should be more than enough time. Edited changes will be allowed. The short list won't be compiled until 1 May, so you can even change your mind between now and then if you want.

So let's see your top 2 choices!

We can set up multi-vote polls now can we not? That way we can simply list all the choices, have everyone pick two and after the voting is over we can then take the final two and vote?

If you want to do it that way, that is fine by me. I just want to keep the topic going.

The reason why I suggested people post two, is that some of the names bandied about weren't exactly made clear. Just "something ewoks" or "something wampa", and not every pilot has made an initial say either. So my suggestion gives them a chance to still add in an option they want.

But I am all for starting a poll now if we can. At the very least we should have a "There is another" option in case people really dislike the choices.

Your poll is up, but who's votes get counted?

- Canadian Bbase pilots only?
- Canadian Base members only?
- Canadian Base members pilots + those currently working on the costume?
- Everybody!?

Just thought you might want to specify. Choice is up to the Base CO and current pilots. Any and all are acceptable.

I would like to think that all Base members are potential pilots and should be able to vote...if none have a problem with that then I say the whole base can vote.

Is it too late to suggest Aurora Squadron? (It's both a Canadian and Star Wars reference. The Aurora Nebula near Yavin.)

I also think the Roaring Wampas is a cool idea.
The ducks on the other hand, remind me too much of Howard. schrik
