Through OSFES I was contacted by one of the librarys to see if there was some interest in volunteering in costume for the Library's Summer Reading program. They mentioned they have had Star Wars Characters before but it was the first I heard about it. For you crossover guys, is this something the 501st has done in the past? Is this something we would want to get involved with? I have little to no details at the moment but wanted to throw it out there to see if guys would be interested in doing something. The lady suggested a reading of Star Wars childrens books and maybe a "reinactment". She also wanted to make sure we had "good guys" and NOT all "Bad guys" (Her words... not mine, thats why I thought maybe the 501st had done this before). LMK!~

Sounds pretty cool. I'd be willing to do something like that, of course, depending on the day and time. Smile

I think something has been done with this in the past on the 501st side, but I think its been a while. I think it could be a good event. See what you can set up, as far as date and time wise, as I think that will be the deciding factor for most people. Then we can throw out the invite to the 501st and see what happens.

The Kansas City FanForce did something like this at some local libraries last fall, with some help from the RL and 501st. Here and here are some info. It was a huge success and as one of the event coordinators I'd be happy to answer any questions or offer advice, please feel free to ask!
