Hi
I am planning to do the duster version of the Endor Trooper.
How exact do I have to match the original from the movie?
What are the requirements to get the duster approved?
flap pockets?
slit bin the back?
that strap on top of the slit?
length?
Thanks for your help! |

I know that the length is a big one. It should be between calf and ankle length.
Most people alter a modern lab coat so I don't think that the seam construction is quite so crucial.
I'm personally working on one built on a lab coat. I added length split up the back, then built bellows pockets and the small tab on the back. |

One of the ladies in Dagobah Base has sewn three of the dusters, and they exactly matched the details of the originals seen in the film. Ive found some dissatisfaction with altering lab coats, generally because lab coats stop just below your waist. You may also look for a butchers coat, which tends to be a little longer, and you may be able to find one in 100% cotton so all the parts dye at the same rate when you do the tan dye. _________________ Once I was Dewka, but now I'm just G'nott sH'urr
