Nevarro Twi'lek WIP

I'm working on a Twi'lek from The Mandalorian. She's in the Nevarro marketplace in episodes 1 and 3.



Basic costume parts:

- Wide-set lilac lekku
- gray headwrap/scarf that covers the back of the head, no ears or ear cones visible
- green robe, mid calf in front, just above knee length in back.
- brown tunic, mid thigh length
- dark brown cloth sash/belt, wraps around twice
- loose mustard yellow pants, wide leg, sits above the top of the boots
- brown ankle Chelsey style boots
- off-white socks (bunched up)
- blue/gray messenger bag

Most of the fabric parts appear to be linen, and weathered.

Nevarro Twi’lek CRL (draft)


1. Skin

Warm toned light purple/lilac skin color. Eyebrows are dark, and lip color is similar to skin color.

2. Lekku

Wide set lekku, worn forward over the shoulders and reaching about mid-torso length. Lekku must match skin color and should have tips shaded darker purple.

3. Headwrap

Medium gray cloth wrap that fully covers the back of the head between the lekku, and wraps around close under the chin and sides of the face. A second loop hangs down beneath both lekku to about mid-bust. No ears or ear caps are visible.

4. Tunic

Loose brown linen or linen-like tunic, about upper to mid-thigh length, or approximately even with the costumer’s wrist with arms held at the side.

5. Robe

Muted green linen or linen-like robe. Sleeves are wide, with hems approximately 6 inches deep, and reach approximately to the costumer’s knuckles. Robe is weathered, with some loose threads on the edges. Robe length is approximately knee length in back and just above pants length (mid calf) in front.

6. Pants

Loose mustard yellow linen or linen like pants. Pants should sit about mid-calf, just above the boots. Lower hems are somewhat ragged, with a triangular piece missing from the front of the left leg. Pants are weathered. No visible pockets.

7. Sash/Belt

Wide, dark brown sash or cloth belt that wraps twice around the waist/upper hips. Ends or fastenings are not visible.

8. Boots

Short brown “chelsea” style ankle boots.

9. Socks

Off-white socks, long enough to bunch around the tops of the boots.

10. Bag

Slate or bluish-gray canvas messenger bag, worn across the body.

First quick test of my lekku. These are the Hera-style ones by Twi'lek Pam.

Pants are done, just need weathering.

I also managed to find some purple body paint that matches the lekku locally (yay! they were specifically colored to match an Australian brand that would be super expensive to ship ) so now I'm trying REALLY hard to not paint up until I at least have more of the costume to test it with, haha.
