It's too bad that most of these probably wont be acceptable in the RL, I really dig the yellow suit (in-game I have an outfit combination with that that looks so awesome). I might just make the costume for fun sometime.

Nice pictures, though. Smile

Yes, it is too bad that the freestyle combinations aren't approvable. I have a couple of variations that I really like. Most of the time I use my Twi'lek or Duros pilot. I use those outfits because I usually fly Y-Wing or U-Wings. I cannot hit the side of a bantha with an X-Wing or A-Wing so I prefer to fly bombers and support. When I have to play on the side of the imperials I have the red outfit and fly a red TIE-bomber and TIE-Reaper.

Unfortunately, I do not have the skill to make any of them myself or the money to commission one by a skilled seamstress/propmaker. Instead, I am going to make an OT X-Wing pilot. That is in my skill range and I already have the gloves, boots, chest box kit, and HBS helmet that I am going to repaint to look like the "vintage alliance" helmet. The orange fabric is on its way and the rest will be ordered in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for the compliment. I pre-ordered Squadrons because I was a huge fan of the X-Wing game and TIE-Fighter game when I was a teenager. I remember playing them for many hours.

I really need to splurge and get the Twi'lek sometime. I've been mostly sticking with my human Rebel pilot with the yellow suit, brown flak vest and B-wing pilot chestbox, along with the yellow Y-wing pilot helmet and the white Rogue One gloves... It's a snazzy set. When I have the free time I may just make that outfit for myself just for fun, all I would need is the yellow suit and to make a brown version of my B-wing pilot flak vest, I've got everything else. But I'll see... I've got plenty of projects on my plate. Heh.

I used to play the X-wing and TIE Fighter games, and X-wing Alliance, as well. I still do from time to time. Though my favorite starfighter game was Rebel Assault II, I've played the heck out of that game. And Rogue Squadron, of course.

Good luck with the OT X-wing pilot!

I prefer to play as alien characters. I am already a human in real life so I do not want to be one in games too. Smile

I played X-Wing Alliance too but I already had a job when that game came out and never had the time to play it as much as I played the other one. I like the film clips of Rebel Assault II but I always thought that the gameplay was too restricted and repetitive. I also did not like the gameplay of Rebel Assault (1) and Rogue Squadron. Instead of those, I played Wing Commander 3 to 5 as well as Mech Warrior 3 and its successors when I needed a break for X-Wing and TIE-Fighter.

Thanks. The OT X-Wing pilot is a fun project on the side and I am not going for approval but I want it to look as accurate as I can get it with my skill set. A friend and I think our small local Star Wars group needs to have some X-Wing pilots to balance all out ANH TIE-Fighter pilots we have.

I have been practicing flying the B-Wing in the solo fleet battle against the AI mode so I took some screencaps of my NPC squadmates at the end of the match. Mora Veil wears an A-Wing helmet in the briefing but she has the Vintage Alliance helmet in her hand in her victory pose. Her pose is unique but there are three other victory poses where the player also has a Vintage Alliance helmet no matter what helmet they actually have selected. My Abednedo is wearing the tactical set which has an A-Wing helmet. Abednedos can only wear an A-Wing helmet but in those three victory poses he is holding a Vintage Alliance X-Wing helmet in his hand.

Yeah, for some reason all of the victory poses with a pilot holding their helmet (holding it in the air, balancing it on their finger, holding it under their arm) all use the default X-wing pilot helmet instead of the helmet you give them in character customization. Which really sucks. I'm not sure why EA gave the poses a default helmet.

That bugs me too. I also do not like the fact that I cannot look at my pilots from all angles. I can go around the fighter to look at them so why not do the same for the pilots?

Did you see that they added two B-Wing helmets when they added the B-Wing fighter yesterday?

When I turned on Squadrons this morning I found a new rebel pilot set in my inventory. I guess owning and playing EA Star Wars Battlefront 1, Battlefront 2, Jedi Fallen Order, and Squadrons has its perks.

Translation of the text:
Thank you, that you play the Star Wars titles from EA!
Through your many adventures, in a galaxy far, far away, you have earned our thanks and these rewards:
-Hoth-Pilots-Adaptionsset
-Executioner Pilots-Adaptionsset

I was really excited to see this too and have set it as my player's outfit as well. I was glad to see that it's an Original trilogy flightsuit with the Hoth Jacket, rather than putting the jacket on the Rogue One style. The character has a Luke-style leather belt rather than the silver webbing that we see standard Snowspeeder pilots wearing in Echo base. Vest is also not backwards unlike in ESB.

Haven't seen it on any NPC's yet, however, there is a clearly defined set as with the other costumes.

The flight suit is a little different. The OT flight suit is made of cotton twill with flat pockets. The Hoth Set flight suit has gusseted thigh pockets but they are not as thick as the right thigh pocket on the Rogue One flight suit. The flight suit and the jacket of the Hoth Set have thick thermal clothing look them were the OT flight suits are thin. Hoth Set also has the Rogue One style harness. The boots of the Hoth Set have a more leather boot look to them. The ESB snow speeder boots look more like Moccasins shoes to me.

Does anyone know if someone has extracted the B-wing pilot helmet from Squadrons yet? I'm curious to get a better look at the details of it.

I really wish that we could rotate around our pilot to get a better look at them in-game.

I do not know if someone did that yet and I also do not know where to look for such things. I tried to google it but the terms I used did not bring up anything useful. I recorded a couple of clips after I read your post and will make screencaps of the helmets so that I can post them here. I hope that will help a little bit.

Here are my screencaps of the two B-Wing helmets that are currently available in the game. I hope that more helmets will be awards for future operations.

More screencaps of the two B-Wing helmets. The collar of the Hoth Pilot outfit got in the way on some shots that am not posting right now. I am going to retake them tomorrow first and then post.

Thanks for posting the pictures!

I really wish that EA would have added the ability to allow players to rotate the camera around their character to see it from various angles, that would have been really helpful.
