Hello!
Some of you will know me from my Black Decoy Amidala WIP.
I finished all snails and now I need to make all "spikes".
As this costume takes time as hell because of that, I decided to make another costume for myself which will be faster finished.
I want to do events together with my fiancé (who is a 501st stormtrooper) and my Amidala will take a lot of time.
Well - I decided to do the ceremonial Leia.
By searching for the jewelry I found this kit on eBay
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Star-Wars-ANH-Princess-Leia-Ceremonial-Necklace-Bracelet-Deluxe-Replica-Kit-/302863057071
To all experts and judges out there - is it RL approved/good enough?
Or do you know a RL member who creates / sales or take comissions for it?
Thank you a lot [/code] |

To my eyes, it looks pretty good. As long as you can finish it with a nice metallic look. I'm not a judge myself, but that appears to be within the standards.
Good luck! _________________

Your choices looks very nice.
Some of the edges on the jewellery may need a bit of sanding before painting, but shape and size looks good to me.
The belt also looks like it should work; it would nice if it had a bit more curve in general, but as far as I'm aware this belt should go through without a problem.
Good luck on hunting for the shoes. I have a pair of silver dress shoes with a wide, medium height heel and they are quite comfortable to wear. (As comfortable as heels can get, anyway).
It's a beautiful costume and I wish you the best of luck with it. _________________

Today I made the first mockup with the cheapest fabric I found at home.
But I just want to get the V correct before I start using the right fabric
What do you think about it? I think the V is too high ?

I'm not a judge, but in my opinion it does look like it might be just the slightest bit too high. The seam looks to hug just under her bust. _________________

I'd agree, the seams seem a little too high to me. On leia they are just underneath the breast, as Elizabeth said the shape looks fantastic though!
off to a fantastic start though! the necklace parts look great and the belt looks a great shape, can't wait to see this build progress!

Thanks a lot!
I will do a new Mockup tomorrow with the line directly underneath the bust and the V (a bit lower) to the middle of the bust and post a new version tomorrow.
Thank you! |

I'd say it needs to be lower by about 1 cm. So it's very close. The V itself looks to have a good angle. _________________

As promised my second mockup.
I think about lower the line at the waist to get the same angle for the V as before.
I think I will make a third mockup tomorrow with the V a little big higher in the middle and little bit lower on the side for the angle.
What do you think? |

So hello again!
I made a third mockup and I love the shape of the V.
As you said the line hugs right under the bust - I pointed where my bra ends - as you can see it's lower than the line.
Should I make a 4th mockup to see how it turns out when the line is under my bust?
Orange marks my bra

This looks really good to me! similar to the reference, And trial and error with the mock-ups was definitely worth it
Can’t wait to see how it comes along! _________________ Beth Mitchell (Naberrie)
